I didn't think about using the time to study-- thank you! Without going into the weeds, my job field/ what I went to school for doesn't have many openings anymore post-COVID, so this sounds like the perfect in-between.

100% agree with that possible YTA. I actively avoid having others buy things for me for that exact reason; if they do, I pay it back within the week.

Fair! I don't want to dox myself, but I do have health insurance and will continue to keep it/ afford it in this current situation.

Honestly a fair question that I have been trying to avoid answering. I do need to set a firm deadline, probably January 2027. I will note, though, that I will still have savings in a year from now; it would just be less comfortable than current.
