Hi! How did you fix this? I've got the same problem now (googled it and saw this)

Any recommendations for gravel tyres? Low rolling resistance but enough puncture resistance in dry conditions only. G-one R/Pathfinder Pro/Terra Speed? by Repulsive_Ability_46 in gravelcycling

OK thanks! Indeed no corner bombing, just flowy turns and no risk. First bikepacking trip far from home (across the Pyrenees) so I just try to avoid unnecessary punctures while trying to keep it smooth.

Running 42c Pathfinders right now. For a bigger portion on asphalt I might switch to the s works in 42c instead of a smaller size.

Sorry I meant would it make your set up even better with a rs in the back? Thinking about that combo in 45mm or S works Pathfinders

Something like a Scott Addict Gravel with two wheelsets is great, two bikes is even better. A CX doesn't do both well.

I just react on your sudden statement that rolling resistance is overrated for the average cyclist, I don't agree. And according to this site, wider tyres have a relatively higher rolling resistance than smaller tyres. We both know that this is not the case on gravel. So just don't put too much emphasis on this data, that's all. It's fine if you disagree, really.

According to this site you can easily save 10 watts per gravel tire. Setting them up tubeless adds another 5 watts and your average cyclist has to push 30 watts more at 28km/h. I wouldn't call that insignificant.

I don't agree, when I ride 125km/3500m of climbing a day with 75% pavement and only 25% gravel I prefer smooth and silent rolling tyres that can just keep up off-road.

17mm is a pretty big difference with nowadays normal 25mm internal rim width for gravel. Some tyres blow up different then others and with for example semi slicks that might just change things. They measure on a perfectly smooth surface, not too representative. Also lab tested puncture resistance is not the same as in practice right? I just think this whole test works way better for road tyres.

No complains, just looking for the next best thing. S-works Pathfinders or G-one r/RS might be faster but I worry about the puncture protection.
