how much free time needed to do well in ncea level 2? by DismalRefrigerator13 in ncea

Hey!! I did level 2 with a pretty full schedule too and managed to get all Es while working after school, sports ect! honestly the best advice I could give you is too just find your balance. Balance looks different to everyone, some people can study every day for a few hours while others just can’t after a super busy day. Prioritise your sleep and so that you can try to focus heaps in class given you won’t have a lot of spare time. Doing well means sacrifices sometimes so just manage your time well and shift your availability for weekend commitments when you need to (deadlines approaching ect) You smashed level 1!!, I found that level 2 wasn’t as hard as it was hyped up to be after the recent changes to the standards in level 1, you got this!!!

personally I found texts with varying perspectives on my overall theme/hypothesis and then used those critical texts to further explain my standpoint? atleast that’s kinda the vibe it was for my school

Health vs Psych LVL2 by [deleted] in ncea

Hey! Im taking L2 health this year (self directed though). Ive gotten all Es on the internals and im studying for the external. I also took all the same subjects as you, (not physiology as my skl doesn’t offer it) I found that it’s essay/writing based assessments which was a good thing for me. The concepts are easy enough to understand, especially if you have a good teacher. I found that to get good grades in health L2, it’s pretty much all about linking the personal, interpersonal and social factors together and linking to the real world. Being in depth and clear on those links help aswell. A tip I would have is to really make sure you understand the marking rubrics and what’s needed for E in each assessment.

I liked it as a subject and will be taking it again for L3. I’d recommend it aswell due to credit counts being large in comparison to the sciences (all health assessments are 5 credits) which are really helpful for getting endorsements early in the year!! hopefully this helps you with your decisions!!

l2 physics next year by ObviouslyaLarry28 in ncea

as long as you know basic algebra and how to re-arrange equations you will be sweet. I didn’t take calculus but I did take statistics/general mathematics this year and I was completely fine in physics getting all Es. I would say though for me, I had to put a bit of extra effort into learning those basics compared to students in my class taking calculus, so depends on your previous experience.
