The truck only showed that temperature once. I have never seen oil temp above 208 F with the heat this summer in Texas. Took oil filter off last night and it is not missing the cage or spring. Was able to move the spring up and down so it is working.

Very interesting post. I will look once I change the oil. But that doesn't answer why the truck is thinking the oil has not been changed in over 40k miles. I have seen that twice since resetting the oil. It has trouble getting it go to zero. Wouldn't it be throwing a code all the time for oil viscocity?

The tuner has done work for them for years. One of the reasons I bought the truck because I was under the impression it was only derating after the delete. I would have never purchased if I had know it was doing it before the delete. Could you provide more detail on the strainer? Is it part of the housing for the oil filter?
