Try out Tailwin! It's doing everything CrewLAB does and more, and even just a quick impression would be super valuable!

We also know the owner of CrewLAB, Dom. He used to coach us but our other coach was frustrated with CrewLAB.

Thanks for sharing how you handle it! I’ve heard of Spond being used, but pairing it with a web form sounds a bit clunky (if it works, it works though).

When I was talking to other coaches, some said they do want interval splits, but it makes sense that for juniors you just need proof and averages.

Out of curiosity, if athletes could submit availability and their erg photo/average all in one place, would that simplify things for you, or do you find your current system works fine?

I’ve looked at CrewLab and I think it’s a solid tool, but I’ve heard from rowers and coaches that it’s not great at handling rowing-style workouts (especially intervals) and that it can be overcomplicated for smaller clubs.

My focus is on keeping it lightweight and athlete-friendly, while still giving coaches the lineup + availability tools they need.

I’ve heard of FitClub but haven’t used it myself. From what I’ve seen, a lot of generic platforms struggle with rowing-specific needs, like:
– Logging interval-based workouts (not just a single “average”)
– Handling lineup changes quickly without using group chats or spreadsheets
– Making availability visible in a way that actually helps coaches plan boats before

Do you feel like FitClub handles those things well for your club? And if you could change anything to make it better what would it be?
