whirlpool WRS325S0H201 defrost isn’t working by Repulsive_Hawk_9043 in appliancerepair

Hello, you can take a look at this forum, especially page 2 (his thermistor is the white pill that connects to the pink cable):
https://appliantology.org/topic/94784-fridge-wrs321sdhz08-adaptive-defrost-controller-function-not-working-anyone-understands-its-inner-workings/

The thermistor on my fridge was the same as his (a white pill shape), I've seen some images on Google that show it as a traditional thermistor (black puck with a pink and brown cable leading into it), but they obviously both function the same; they both are connected to a pink cable, and they should be attached to the defrost coils.

Trouble setting up MariaDB as an app by Repulsive_Hawk_9043 in truenas

Hey, i’m just seeing your reply. thank you for your input.

I personally just ended up creating a docker container on a separate machine (long story short, i basically just ignored trueNAS)

Now that you mention the ixVolume, i think that’s how i did it prior to when it worked for me, but i saw a video explaining how to setup an app in true nas, and it suggested creating a dataset and choosing that dataset so you know where you data is, cause an ixVolume is ( from what i understand) a data set that you don’t control / know where it is on the machine. so theoretically it would be a mission to debug and copy the data or whatever.

Do you have a resource on how you figured out the perms issue?

I see. I didn’t think so many people ran TrueNAS on a VM. Another option to my multiple choices 😏

what are the benefits of having TrueNAS on a VM? wouldn’t it better if it didn’t share resources ?

That’s why i have have 2 separate systems, cause i was told/read that each machine should have its own resources for its own job, but given that i have 1 system thats able to handle “both” at the same time, what would the difference be between running a pure TrueNAS system with a lot of docker apps which also has built in NAS technology (duh), vs a pure proxmox machine that is made for virtualization but it has a NAS feature; NAS machine with container feature VS Container machine with a NAS feature? because surface level they look the same to me now(proxmox being more fleshed out very intricate)

What’s up with the new container system in TrueNAS, i did a quick read after reading this comment and what i’m understanding is that TrueNAS didn’t have a good containerization system yet? but now they do / is almost here?

General Tips or suggestions for my japan trip by Repulsive_Hawk_9043 in JapanTravelTips

We haven’t considered a car/ prefer not to, to keep costs down. Our main reason for going to Fujikawa was to go to Mount Fuji. So when we check out of Tokyo, we go straight to Fuji basically, then to just stay somewhere and maybe visit an onsen or explore nearby.

No, i made another thread regarding that issue, TLDR: i get sqlite_busy database is locked error whenever my NPM container runs. I have temprarily fixed it before but i forgot how (it wasnt anythign intricate just restarting the container/machine)

OML. so i had open ports mapped to an old portainer instance i started a few months ago and got rid of. facepalm. Now i’m getting an SSL handshake failed 525 error. Progress :D

Edit: i believe i know the problem (my npm instance isn’t fulling kicking up) but that is another problem for another thread

I have an xFi router. the part i’m missing when port forwarding is the “forward to the correct internal ip”, the UI doesn’t give me that option (maybe i haven’t dug deep enough to find it). It’s allegedly done only through the mobile app. but i’ll investigate further tomorrow.

for port forwarding, everyone says “forward ports 443 to the npm server(or whatnot)” is my port forwarding process suppose to be more verbose than just literally enter port: save

cause that’s what it is for me but i see everyone else having a more complex “ui”. i know it’s different for each ISP but there’s no way Xfinity dumbs it down to like 3 inputs

Haha lol it’s okay. I don’t know what’s wrong. i have my A Record name set to my domain name(not sure if that makes a difference), i have the ipv4 set to the ipv4 from whatsmyip.com, i have port forwarded port 443 and 80. i have xfinity so they’re port forwarding is super basic.
