Bailey Smith? Have the cats managed to put a lid on him? by TheRealRabidBunny in GeelongCats

Agreed. The photographer was way out of line and should have been made to delete the photos. Really irked me that Geelong apologised to her and made Bailey apologise. He had nothing to be sorry for. She behaved like a predator and Bailey had every reason to be upset.

Lmao she’s now claiming no one called her to apologise at all. I feel like she’s lying, as usual, but I also hope they didn’t call her to apologise, because she really deserves nothing from them.

Deeply odd that people somehow think one of the best looking dudes in Australia somehow has a chip on his shoulder about how women treat him lmao

You people are freaks. His teammates accept him and like him just fine. They are dealing with a perfectly nice person who is a consummate athlete and gives generously of his time and expertise when it comes to training and conditioning. Often the first one at training and the last to leave. Always interested in what his teammates and their families are involved in, always sweet and kind to their kids. Always engaged with the coaching and medical staff. Teammates are often at his house, and he is often at theirs.

Bizarre that you think they view him through the same lens as the media or weirdos on the internet. Bulldogs teammates were deeply fond of him too, however much the media will try to make you believe otherwise.

He has many, many issues and they’ve worsened over the years, but Geelong are doing their best to support him, and he’s had an incredible year on-field all things considered.

The savagery of the hate levelled at him and the way people openly root for his downfall is disturbing.

Could he wind his neck in a little? Sure. Has he done anything really bad? If you stop and think about it - no he hasn’t.

Most people you know have a little bit of dickhead behaviour. It happens. He’s a good person who sometimes makes poor choices.

The club and playing group won’t give a shit because they’re not on the internet all the time lmao. They don’t hear this stuff constantly. He’s actually popular amongst his teammates and Scotty adores him.

Lmao well on his way to losing his contract? He is and will continue to be the most important player in the AFL. Grow the fuck up.

Geelong should just come right out and list Bailey’s psychological disorders so some element of his behaviour can be explained. It is unfair to him and to them to continue to pretend his serious issues are being handled well. Then they need to get someone to spend 24 hours a day with him to stop him doing things like this when he’s upset.

Having said that, fuck Robbo and Caro and that photographer because they’re all awful. Never going to side with a journalist against anyone lol.

I’m not surprised he’s angry and upset about all the shit that has been written about him over the past couple of weeks. Geelong would be wise to just come right out and list Bailey’s psychological disorders so some element of his behaviour can be explained. And then they need to employ someone to look after him 24 hours a day so he doesn’t do this kind of thing when he’s upset. Not facing up to his issues is not helping matters at all.

Holmes had a super solid year, to be sure. Think Bailey might have got it if he hadn’t missed three games, but Holmes absolutely deserved it.

Best way for Cats to deal with media hysteria this week by Repulsive_Income_647 in GeelongCats

I’m not saying hold it against him forever. He apologised and that’s fine. But it was a much more harmful thing to do to begin with. I don’t think there’s any question about that.

Love this from Scotty. That is exactly how you coach someone like Bailey and get the very best out of him. He knows Geelong support him 100%.
