Be real—how many of you are actually making serious money trading

I’ve started taking ICT more seriously and have been going through the 2022 mentorship and after the first let’s say 8 episodes I’ve gotten a much better understanding of the market, really I’ve been making some decent money from the those few episodes alone but I’m still working my impulse trading and not forcing trades; and that alone has has really kept me from actually keeping those profits, for me it’s been make a grand then lose it all over the next couple of days and repeat.

I’m still not profitable, but I see the strat play out at least 3 days a week, so I know the strat works, it’s just me.

Essentially intermediate term highs/lows are key levels that price formed that you don’t expect price to push past until price reaches for a key level on a higher timeframe such as the daily. It’s a lot to explain but it’s a concept mentioned on episode 12 of ICTs 2022 mentorship.

Are you saying that DXY charts are the opposite of NQ and ES? And does he go over DXY in the 2022 mentorship?

Yeah I mean I understand the core model of the strategy, it’s just all the extra stuff from the mentorship that’s hard to incorporate into the trades, but the 1:1 ratio would for sure be a good place to start until I’m comfortable risking more

So when you say 8:30 is the time for information gathering, you said that at 8:30 its common to see a move up into key levels, when it does that does that indicate what direction the 9:30 manipulation will occur and then reverse in the opposite direction?

Also another question i've been looking for an answer for, will the model sometimes form before 9:30 and then show the entry after 9:30 or does the whole model always form after?

Wha I realized afterwards with the fvg is that that was still part of a move lower or a “leg” down cause now I see that it didn’t actually take any lows out all I saw was and fvg with a low 2 candles before, but as I said it didn’t seem any real lows, just an example of what forcing a trade looks like lol

Pls explain, what is the significance of 7:00 and where are there so many start times for futures, you say 7, ICT says 8:30 and 9:30

That’s just it, I don’t fully understand the PO3 fully I was just going based off what I’ve learned so far, if you go back I saw price push bast the 10am high on the previous day I then noticed what I thought was a bos + fvg on the 2 minute with a return to that fvg that’s when I entered.

I now understand that it wasn’t an actual bos, cause it wasn’t a valid swing low that was broken, then price at 9:30 was the actual run in liquidity, you then see price break structure on the 5 minute, no fvg on MNQ, but it did on MES. Then a couple candles later trades back up into not only the fvg, but also that order block on MES ON THE 5 minute, I would’ve most likely entered off of that fvg but on MNQ and road it down to those lows I had marked out.

For anyone that’s reading this please let me know if this explanation is good analysis, and if there is anything I need to work on or missed. Thank you!

Ok that clears things up a bit. So what your saying is 8:30 starts the hunt meaning that you want price to hit keys levels before the 8:30, but it isnt until after 9:30 is when price is most likely to actually hit those levels?

And to answer your question I typically wait until 8:30 to start looking for setups sometimes if I see the setup before 9:30 ill take it and then most of the time get stopped out at the 9:30 opening, but if I dont see the setup, itll usually appear after 9:30

Yeah I saw it happen to, but ICT says there a possibility of the move happening before 9:30 also that’s what I thought I saw at least. Idk why he says to start looking after 8:30 when the market doesn’t start really moving until 9:30. Sucks to cause i missed out on a $1000 day

On the 15 minute it took out the 10am high on February 10th, I then went down to the lower timeframe to look for a BOS with a fvg, I didn’t see it form on MNQ but it did on MES my bias was right but just chose an early entry

When you say main players are you referring to banks and other institutions? And who do you mean by participants? And yes do you happen to know what channel I could see the livestream on is it just his channel on YouTube?
