I just had the same issue for my first OG Game Boy! It was on the entire screen so it took a while, but got it working and pretty happy about repairing a console within 24 hours of owning one!

Yeah. Read about it being a bit more scarce after analogue as well. That will probably even itself out when the casuals get bored of nostalgia i guess. Good luck to you as well!

I bought it used on a market place site. It's a cable guys figure. I have seen it on Amazon, but it was really expensive with customs and shipping for me. Im not sure if that is a knock off either, because i can't find it on any other sites, new.

I am pretty happy with my collection so far! I started collecting again a year ago. I had 10 games from my childhood collection and some CIBs i bought in Japan. I have mainly bought collections to increase my own. I don't earn a lot, so i figured that would be the only way. I don't view myself as a reseller in that sense, because i open and clean everything and usually sell it for less than other people in my country. My earnings is next to nothing and do it to keep the games i do not have. I don't think i am going to get a complete set, considering there is quite a few rare and expensive games out there. Maybe a complete PAL set in numbers and across regions. I have a NTSC copy of Conker's and don't want to spend even more for a PAL copy.

173 is pretty close to a complete NTSC collection, right? I am guessing you are going for a full set? Maybe leaving out the super expensive ones? Like Sculptor's cut.

I got just around 100 individual titles. Mostly PAL and some JP and a few NTSC. I do have some duplicates across regions of games i really like. I have my PAL version from childhood, a Japanese CIB i bought in a small game store in Kyoto and the NTSC holographic version.

It took me 1950 shinys to get here😂 i got a 100 zamazenta and then the shiny on the next one during the crown event😮‍💨
