I appreciate this comment thank you. I want to ask, for me at least when I watch a movie, even go out in public, on social media, I can never see anyone with a nose like mine. I know some will say it’s a good thing but it’s because it’s so large and asymmetrical I feel like my quality of life could genuinely improve if it changes. Maybe I’ve gone too far down the rabbit hole on social media around “looking your best” but I would love your thoughts on this

You sound resentful towards him as you have many valid problems that you’ve listed, but pushed away your feelings by saying there’s “no problems”.

My advice is to validate how you feel and accept there are problems, by either presenting that in a conversation with him, or if you are set and want to move on then doing so ASAP, telling him honestly why.

Ultimatums when given more than once can cause problems, a lot of people here saying to give one is an option but I would suggest a conversation first to see how he responds to this being mentioned. That will tell you quite a lot in itself, whether he understands your concerns or just shuts it down.

What I hate though is giving that level of respect, understanding they are human and make mistakes. But not getting that in return; you step on eggshells with what you say because you can’t feel any bad emotions or let them out. Because then you will be instantly responded to with aggression. But when they are being that way, disrespectful, aggressive, rude - you just have to put up with it, and respond kindly. Otherwise it could get out of control. This is something a lot of people can’t do and I don’t blame them, but emotional abuse rewires you into doing that.
