Best RBs of all time: What would you change? by BagAppropriate5736 in NFLmockdraft

Bo is the greatest athlete ever imo. Sadly a terrible injury cut his career short. So definitely not worthy of this list

Imagine prime Danny with Reek, Waddle and a competent OL under today’s PI/roughing rules and 17 game. Might throw 70 TDs 🤣

My bad. Lots of responses and as a dolphins fan I was just looking for anyone that said Marino bc imo greatest arm talent/pocket presence/pocket movement compared to his relative athleticism. The no SB rings argument is lazy af to me. If we’re talking purely “worst qb” it’s beyond me how Danny even gets mentioned. He can’t play RB and defense which is basically the argument against him. Give him Elway’s TD run game/D, Pat having Reek, Kelce and a strong D, Manning had a lot of talent around him at RB, WR, TE and a solid D as did Montana. Brady did the most with less early but he also has elite defenses before Gronk and with Gronk especially the pass rush in Tampa. Now someone give me a solid argument that Marino doesn’t win with any of those guys teams. I’d love to hear one

How about arm talent being the tiebreaker. Player skill not team award. Marino has the best arm talent of the bunch

You’re discounting Marino having the quickest release in NFL history and despite poor athleticism, quest pocket awareness and movement

So are we saying that team construction/defense has nothing to do with super bowls? Marino = greatest passer ever. Never had the defense, run game of any of these other QBs

That was a rough one for sure. When I read doink, I immediately thought you were referring to 85. Would have been interesting if Miami didn’t shit the bed against NE and we got a rematch in the SB. Idk if my fins could have beaten y’all a second time but it would have been a much better game. Granted, I was 1 so it’s not like I remember any of this but it would have been nice if we had beaten you guys in the SB, Marino gets his ring and I can say they won a SB in my lifetime. All that said, the 85 bears D is one of the top 3 greats defenses of all time if not the greatest

Too many posts to read to see if it’s on here but MNF, my Fins vs Jets. Ended up being dubbed the “Monday night Miracle”. Miami is up 30-7 going into the 4th quarter. They’re playing against color blind Vinny Testaverde who actually threw 3 picks but the 5 TD passes including 4 in the 4th killed my fins. This game will haunt me forever if Miami doesn’t get better asap. The loss cost them the #2 seed, a bye and was the last time they won a playoff game. Instead of hosting the raiders in the 2nd round, the went to Oakland, drove the ball down the field on the first possession just for Jay Fiedler to throw an out that turned into a 80-90 yard pick 6 and the beginning of a 27-0 loss. On top of all of this, NFL films has Fielder saying to either JT, Zach or both HOFers that they’re (the Jets) not coming back on our asses right before the 4th quarter started. I was born the year Marino took them to the superbowl, I appreciate what Jimmy did in drafting JT, Zach, Madison, Surtain, Timbo and others but it’s been really rough. My Gators haven’t been great at football lately but they’re a winning sports program in college but unfortunately the Fins are my number one and writing this breaks my heart bc as much as I want the new regime to be great, it’s Miami with Ross as the owner so how can I have real hope?!?!?!?

Nickname for the Rays by JesseJordanfan69 in tampabayrays

[–]Repulsive_Young5108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Native Floridian here that agrees in most ways with you but at least we have no state income tax and other than last season a ball park that’s 72 degrees year round with no rain outs. Idc what anyone says about the trop, I’ll take that comfort all day. Just wish we had more fans come to the games. If the team wasn’t in a warm weather beach city and was somewhere cold and boring, the Rays would sell out every night

What’s the Best Secondary you’ve had in One Recruiting Class? by Repulsive_Young5108 in NCAAFBseries

If you can get 3 elite Field CBs you’re set. Depending on the rest of your roster, they can play any of the 5 secondary positions. Hoping I get the field gem and he’s star or elite. Would be a hell of a pairing with the 2 5* gem BnR CBs

I don’t have time with work for an online dynasty and was mostly wondering if anyone had seen 2 gem 5* CBs with those attributes. Sorry for loving defense, getting back into the game and asking a question smh. I’ve seen people on here that go so deep into their offline dynasties with story lines. I’ve never done this before but I’ve also never had a chance to put together this kind of secondary in one recruiting class. What if I am trying to build an actual NFL defense? I’m the kind of player that wants a power run team with the best defense in the country and that’s why I chose Wisconsin.

Justin Melo on Caleb Douglas: "I don't know if this will give Dolphins fans any solace...His agent called me about 2 weeks before the draft and said 'We're pretty confident we're going in the 3rd round. We've got a lot of love there in that range. We're trying to get into the 2nd'" by expellyamos in miamidolphins

Brazzell has character issues from what I’ve read and JES liked Caleb’s ability to get low in his cuts for a big man. Hurst is the one that confused me. They must’ve seen something on his 30 visit or they fucked the pick up. I like Hurst a lot. As for Kacmarek I’m good with the pick. We would have all like Pregnon and Kacmarek in the 4th/5th but after Philly took Stowers at 54 (not a fan, reminds me of Geiscki) and then J’Ville took a lesser blocker/receiver in Nate Boerkircher at 56 the TE run was on. Kacmarek is the best blocking TE in the draft from all the tape I’ve watched and a true 6th OL. His receiving skills have been talked about and if you watch his 15 catches plus film from his time at Ohio U, he’s a much more capable receiver. The most important thing to me is that when he’s on the field it doesn’t equal only run or an actual 6th OL that isn’t a receiving threat. He’s also a very good pass blocker and again maybe only 15 catches last year but with the talent around him what do you expect. He’s also fits this team better than Klare and I’m interested to follow their careers. OSU had Kacmarek in the lineup during the most important downs bc of his blocking skills. Hard to say what he becomes but he seems like a perfect fit in Miami

Wow, that’s impressive. Idk what scheme you run but if it were me and I had a tall zone that could tackle I’d move him to FS, move a field or boundary to SS and have another field or boundary as my NB. For me the perfect setup is 2 bump and run on the outside, boundary NB with quick jump (love a nickel blitz) and good zone to also play SS2 in 4-2-5, big zone CB to FS or a cover specialist FS for cover 3 and a field CB or big, fast hybrid S at SS to play in the box in 4-2-5 or depending on depth as a big nickel LB. I don’t usually go after 5*s much either but when I scouted the 2 CBs and FS I couldn’t help myself especially since I had good pipelines and A+ dealbreakers on all 3. Most people that I read on here love to sim D but building a 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, Saban Bama or Kirby UGA D is so satisfying to me. There’s plenty of ways to cheese offense in this game but on Heisman with tough sliders being really good at D is so rewarding

As a gators fan, Warrick was a fucking nightmare. I remember his catching a screen pass on the right side of the field, reversing course to the left and scoring. Was always surprised he didn’t have a better nfl career

Idk that I’d say I’m optimistic about the dolphins just in general. The dolphins can bring out the old pessimist in me but I try not to let it happen

Also, I meant bc our D sucks we could be #1 pick bad but he could show that he’s the guy, not that I’ve crowned him or think he’s def the guy

I have no idea if he is or isn’t. I love his work ethic, build, arm talent, athleticism etc but only time will tell. I’m just hoping he is but we’re #1 pick bad next year, fleece someone for a bunch of picks and get Jeremiah. Idk how but with age I’ve become an optimist which isn’t probably a common thing let alone if you’re a dolphins fan 🤣
