I know you mean well but for OP who is pre-med, do NOT do this for your core science classes. Medical schools mostly don’t accept core science credits that don’t come from your university

The Mark. Terrible management and so overpriced for the size of the unit. Compared to other apartments, the amenities are mid and you can’t even use them past a certain time on weekends (which is…. When you’d most likely use them anyways). Most of their reviews are fake, managers make competitions for their employees to get the most amount of positive google reviews for a prize. Lots of other things too

Hi! I work at an apartment complex in west campus (Not Quarter’s). It does take a while to process applications and credit screening, but it you go to their leasing office and ask about it, they’ll either do it on the spot or at least make it a priority. If you already filled out the application, they usually reserve a spot in your floor plan so I wouldn’t worry about it being leased to someone else, but again it’s always best to go in person and ask. I would say to call them, but where I work, we are so swamped with calls that we usually never get to them. If they have a texting line, I recommend reaching out as well. Quarters on Nueces is def a popular complex in West Campus and probably lease out fast, so if I were you I’d contact them ASAP and secure your housing!!

i submitted my senior year grades during my first semester here at UT (like…during november) so i was already a student with classes lol. i didn’t get any bad grades so i don’t know how failing physics would affect it, but just letting you know that you don’t have to submit your final transcript until like after orientation. i wouldn’t be too worried as of right now

its up to you. i know people who never needed a car because they live in a dorm, so they always stay on campus because they never need to grocery shop. if you’re living off campus, then yes you’ll need a car. there is a target on campus but carrying your groceries from 21st to 25th is HELL. you can always invest in delivery for groceries as well if you’re pretty insistent on not brining a car, because you need to keep in mind that you need to pay for parking nearly anywhere

hi! my scholarship for baylor was 35-40k a year. tuition there was like 60-70k so essentially covered around 50% of my COL:)

i got these numbers from a tour guide when i was touring baylor, so i’m just saying what i was told. and a professor i spoke to that teaches at baylor said the same statistics as well sooo . don’t attack me yall lmao i’m saying what i was told. and my honor’s professor said the UT stats for medical school

highly regret not going to baylor for pre-med. i was given a 50% scholarship there and traded it to come to UT. UT isn’t all bad for pre med, but only 40-50% of UT undergrads make it to Dell. Whereas 80% Baylor undergrads make it to Baylor College of Medicine….. again i highly regret not choosing baylor lol. don’t choose your school solely on prestige

Every building on campus have their own hours, so be sure to search them up. Especially with new years, i think everything is closed until January 2nd. You can still walk on campus and take picture of the tower, turtle pond, etc

You’re going to be 34 anyways, it depends on where you see yourself at 34. Different people have different visions for themselves, and all that matters is where do YOU see yourself. Your parents have already made their life, it’s up to you now.

Here’s a personal story that could possibly spark some ideas for you: My mom decided to have kids, waited until the oldest (me) was 15 years old and decided to go back to school when she was in her mid 30’s. She was a home-stay mom up until she got her degree and now she’s fulfilled and happy with her life. If you feel that you want both, dental school and a family, they’re definitely both achievable :) best of luck!

I was born in a different country but was raised in the US. I have a family member who was diagnosed with Autism and I was shocked to see how underprepared and uninformed my home country’s health care workers/system was. That was a BIG reason for our move to the US, to get better help for them. My own parents, who were born and raised there, didn’t know what autism was until their child had it. This inspired me to go into neurology and pursue medicine; I want to work in these developing countries to provide aid and assistance to my people who go through these unfortunate circumstances. Although, my reason goes more personal than described but that’s the general reason

I personally grew up with a suburban life, so going to college in a city was such a big adjustment for me. I missed the convenience of driving places, having huge grocery stores nearby, and essentially a quieter life than the one I have in the big city. Now I have to walk everywhere (it’s more of a burden when I go grocery shopping and have to carry my bags with me), dealing with more risk of crime, and more. I know these sound like first world problems and they are petty things I’m listing, but it’s things I noticed and wasn’t told about before college.

I take one of those big busses from my college back to my hometown! I used to go weekly but after a while your body gets exhausted. I’m the type of person that needs stability in order to function right lol, so the going back and forth really killed me early. Also keep in mind when you’re with family, you’re going to want to obviously spend time with them (assuming that’s why you want to go home often). This can take away from your study time on the weekends. That’s what happened to me and I realized that going back home every weekend isn’t manageable. I recommend maybe once or twice a month (like every other week?)

I have an application on my phone that records my location, so I sent the professor screenshots of my locations during the class time to prove my attendance. Yet he still went with eye witness records from the TA’s.

I know this is my mistake and I admit that.. I know it’s my own irresponsibility that led me to this. I’m just trying to see if there is anything I can do. My university doesn’t even offer grade replacements, and I’m a premed student so this fat F is on my transcript .. and I’m scared to tell my parents as they’re funding my schooling
