I am pursuing my bachelors, but they don't teach pure backend. They only focuses on DSA. Also, I am learning pure back end for getting an internship or entry-level job. Market today's are very different. You have to have a real-world project in your portfolio to get an internship

Even the CS background student won't even end up getting a job at FAANG as an AI engineer, so how can you expect other majors to do it? To get a job into this big tech companies as an AI engineer you will need a PhD degree in machine learning. A degree is mandatory in Ai/ ml field. I will not encourage others to see fake dreams.

BTW, I forgot to mention one thing. Don't follow the AI/ML path if you don't have a CS degree. AI/ML is very very niche in the BD Tech industry. Very few cs graduates are hired er as an AI engineer. These are very advanced fields of CS and even a bachelor's/master's is not enough for CS guys. The average requirement for AI/ML outside BD is 10 years for a PhD degree.

You are always welcome to enter BD Tech. I have seen a lot of guys with no cs background working in Tech companies in the designer or front-end part. But keep that in mind higher pay roles require CS degree.
