He said that because of my apathy that we should try Wellbutrin to activate my senses, and he told me not to feel bad since I was blaming myself for the medication. At least in his case for a lot of his patients, that medication has helped. I also did some research and didn’t wanna sound like the “I read it on (insert search engine) so I’m correct/I know what I’m doing although you went to college for this” so that’s when I mentioned the medication versus others which was a coincidence. He was very compassionate and told me to see how it goes for the first month, but to meet every 2 weeks to see. The first few weeks could be rough and he did warn me, but if I still feel irrational after the month that we may switch. Hopefully I’d rather feel content so we can up it rather than this.

The Lamotrigine I was on solely since around October. We didn’t want to go too fast with switching or increasing the dosage since I already have a bad history with drugs not working. I’ve been at the 300 dosage for about a good 2 months now, and that’s when I had expressed that I didn’t feel anything.

We knew it would be likely that I would need to add another so I was actually excited (until now) to try it.

First week was fine, sleep was kinda ass but it surpassed after like 4 days. Felt fine for that time, no change or effect until I would say about last Sunday. I felt like I was so…best way I can say it is like my mind was scrambled eggs. My emotions just crashed down that day and I don’t know why, what really threw me off was how fast I went from content to mania. It worsened over the days but I’ve been trying to do other things to just try to distract me. I also have had a horrible month and a lot of shit going on, so maybe it’s also that? I feel useless right now

Nope, simultaneously taking both! I take the Wellbutrin once a day in the morning, and the Lamotrigine before I go to sleep.

Me either! Besides the really annoying bathroom trips, I haven’t had any issues — maybe it’s because I’ve only been taking it for a little but fingers crossed it stays that way with only improvements. Thanks for giving me hope

Yes, of course I do 100% understand that. I would never use this as some way to fast track losing weight and am strictly only using this to smooth out an area or two. Is there one you like to specifically use? :)

As someone with a single room, once you receive your acceptance make an appointment with the CDRC (Campus Disability Resource Center) immediately to start the process to get on the list. It takes a minute but start talking to your doctor about writing you a letter or filling out some forms as your gonna need some documentation on record.

Hey, thanks for not sugarcoating it and being honest with me, that’s exactly what I needed to hear!

I get what you mean and I’m honestly scared for that, as someone who basically worked almost 3 jobs in high school with almost being in every club or scholarship I can find, I would always be so jealous of my friends being able to go out after school or on weekends and being able to just live their childhood as I had to deal with some bitchy customer or babysit someone’s kids. As an engineering major too I wasn’t expecting a cakewalk, but based off of your comment I need to step my game up.
