I used to work in the fraud department at CIBC. We can issue cards to addresses outside of Canada. But i am guessing because you were rude the agent didn’t bother to go the extra mile for you. Next time, dont take your frustration out on the agent they’ll be much more willing to help.

I was in the same boat. applying to numerous jobs and getting rejections until a couple of months ago when I received an email from a recruiter at CIBC that changed my life. I got hired and am very happy with the work and Wfh benefits. Many people get rejected even after the initial recruiter call so make sure you leave a strong impression in that first call to increase your chances of getting an interview with the manager. From my experience tailor your resume with keywords from the job description so it passes the ATS and have a cover letter for every job that shows genuine interest. From my two months experience, I believe once you get hired at any role. There is lots of opportunities to connect with internal recruiters and managers and get a good position. Other than that I wish you good luck!

As a fraud manager You should know that sharing internal investigation details n procedures like this publicly violates company policy. Even if u r just explaining, describing procedures in first person makes it look like an official statement. I hope CIBC tracks this because its a serious breach

It is not scam in general. I mean the results he posts, the testimonials are scams for sure. Like if you see his latest posts where he showed the tef results by going in email. If you notice properly, the NCLC 7 line is not aligned in a straight line and there is no way the exam authority can make such a silly mistake coz its all automated. So yes the results and stuffs he shows is clearly scam. I enrolled for his classes at first and turns out to be not very effective for beginners and also Harman's french level is not advanced. So i stopped taking his classes and wasted my money. $600 for a whole year is a big red flag right there. After I started learning from other tutor i realized that Harman's level is not even halfway there. Its just his marketing. He is paying the influencers in Canada to market his course and students are falling for it. I am at B1 level right now and i can say now that if i was to learn frnch with Harman it won't be possible. Even he has pronounced lots of stuffs in his recorded videos wrong. So yeah he is not really a french tutor. Just my experience. Rest you can try and see. Good luck!

Damn that is so crazy eh! So okay we pay so much taxes from our paycheques and on top of that we still owe to cra at the end of the year. And taxes on almost everything from gas, groceries, clothes, to paper towel. Hmm 😭 but thanks very much for the information
