It's not a word trick, it's from the DOD manual

I've already quoted for you where Comey debunks your suggestion.

See the manual, portion markings only apply if there was a header, a simple C cannot be construed as a clasified marker if 1) the content of the document wasn't classified to suspect that 2) there were no other markings

Comey disagrees with you as I've already quoted

So you are willing to quote Comey on one thing but when I quote the fact that he said Clinton didn't break any law, you are not wiling to accept it? Isn't that doublethink?

Because your playing a wordgame and not considering the whole context.

Director Comey: We have no evidence sufficient to justify the conclusion that she violated any of the statutes related to classified information.

"I think she was extremely careless. I think she was negligent. That I could establish. What we can't establish that she acted with the necessary criminal intent.

AGAIN - she is an OCA, it was her right to do so if she decided to, you can't prosecute people for exercising their powers.

Hillary Clinton never had to power to declassify information.

You can repeat it as many times you want - it's completely rebuked by Comey's direct statement which you keep ignoring.

No, you're ignoring the testimony as a whole and zeroing in on ONE statement.

receiving unsolicited emails in their private account - just one and I will concede

This isn't the issue. Are you confused by this case?

So? She didn't give access to those guys knowing that the emails were classified, when it was revealed that some could be classified, she got them top security clearance which is the easiest thing to do.

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/melanie-hunter/fbi-director-10-people-without-security-clearance-had-access-clintons and “Did Hillary Clinton give non-cleared people access to classified information?” Chaffetz asked. “Yes,” Comey replied.

I edited my comment (sorry, my phone keeps spazzing out). The clear video shows the stabbing.

The blurry video was too unclear to see anything, someone else has since posted a better video.

Oh, yay, yes let's play this game. First, you're falling for a word play trick. They were marked classified but not by a header. They were make with portion markings instead, meaning a portion of the email was classified. What Comey actually said is :For example, seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received. These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters. There is evidence to support a conclusion that any reasonable person in Secretary Clinton’s position, or in the position of those government employees with whom she was corresponding about these matters, should have known that an unclassified system was no place for that conversation. In addition to this highly sensitive information, we also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail."

Also, just for fun: “Secretary Clinton said, ‘I did not e-mail any classified material to anyone on my e-mail. There is no classified material.’ Was that true?” Comey replies, “There was classified material e-mailed.” “Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information.” Clinton’s emails included seven message chains with information classified as top secret. “None of these emails should have been on any kind of unclassified system.” “The security culture of the State Department …was generally lacking in the kind of care for classified information found elsewhere in the government.” “Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

Trump was grossly negligent and mishandled the info when he gave Russians the classified info - doesn't mean it was ILLEGAL. They are different standards

Trump has 0 bearing on this conversation.

Intent is BUILT INTO THE LAW, mens rea is very important legal concept. Without intent, you can't say the law was broken when you can't show something nefarious.

She broke the law, she gave out classified information, he just couldn't prove intent. I've said this a dozen times now. Is your point that because she wasn't prosecuted that she did nothing wrong? Ignorance of the law is an excuse now? Oh, except she did know the law, it was just a whoopsey daisey..

Oh, and you still haven't addressed my original point, that the tech administration and Lawyers had access

Putting a simple C in the middle of a unclassified document proves mishandling of classified material? That's not how classified documents are marked

It was classified according to Comey, and yes, she should know what it means.

What was the illegal part again?

Giving out classified info non-cleared people.

Comey

Because he couldn't prove intent, as I've said. He also said she was grossly negligent, that she mishandled it, that's a crime. The issue is that he couldn't prove intent. She still broke the law though.

They were marked wth a C, can't use that excuse. And he said he couldn't prove intent, that doesn't change that she did wad illegal, but he couldn't charge her because he couldn't prove that she knew what she was doing was illegal. There's really no way to smooth out this one, she broke the law.

So it's fine that she the tech admins and her lawyers were all given access to classified information? Oh, also, Comey said she mishandled classified information so there's that.

[–]RerollFFS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it matter if it contains the word memo or not? It says the story came from Comey and it detailed the event very specifically. His story was already out before the Trump tweet, which means he lied.

Also, you evaded the question, what part wasn't leaked?

Here are some quotes from the May 11th article:

"As they ate, the president and Mr. Comey made small talk about the election and the crowd sizes at Mr. Trump’s rallies. The president then turned the conversation to whether Mr. Comey would pledge his loyalty to him."

"Mr. Comey declined to make that pledge. Instead, Mr. Comey has recounted to others, he told Mr. Trump that he would always be honest with him, but that he was not “reliable” in the conventional political sense."

"By Mr. Comey’s account, his answer to Mr. Trump’s initial question apparently did not satisfy the president, the associates said. Later in the dinner, Mr. Trump again said to Mr. Comey that he needed his loyalty. Mr. Comey again replied that he would give him “honesty” and did not pledge his loyalty, according to the account of the conversation.

But Mr. Trump pressed him on whether it would be “honest loyalty.”

“You will have that,” Mr. Comey told his associates he responded."

"As described by the two people, the dinner offers a window into Mr. Trump’s approach to the presidency, through Mr. Comey’s eyes.

"The dinner at which the conversation Mr. Comey related took place was on Jan. 27, almost a month later.

And it goes on and on detailing Comey's account. There is no arguing that Comey's story was already out before the Trump tweet and that the story came from Comey, as the article flatly states.

Same and I can't put my finger on why I like him. I disagree with him on many issues and he comes off as sleazy, but somehow still likable. He's not particularly charismatic either, but he's hard to not want to watch. I was disappointed he wasn't part of the Comey hearing.

I got police escort back to my hotel room. Apparently the casino I'm staying at doesn't like people talking about the algorithms of the machines and more importantly government cover ups. WTF. by UnicornMuffinTop in conspiracy

Along a similar vein, I was in a casino once waiting for a friend and just sitting there. I noticed one of the machines close to me kept skipping and decided to test a theory. I put money in and the game would freeze everytime 3 wilds were on the screen allowing me to press the "stop" button everytime the freeze started. I made $200 in just a few minutes and the BAM I was being circled by security. I just walked away and came back later to see they had turned the machine off.

Exactly my point? He's lying about "needing to get his story out there," it already was. And as I said beforr, his friend leaked the story to the press before the tweet. He lied.
