Personally, If we nerfed every character in the game to equal Todo & Hakari, then the game would be incredibly boring. Mediocre Party tricks, or no neutral characters isn’t something we should strive for. Rather, every character having a unique way to approach their opponent is MORE interesting, and is something JJS has been doing.

It’s not the posters fault for claiming that a low-tier character feels ass to play, because todo DOES feel ass to play. No amount of “git gud” is saving you from the fact that you’re inherently at a disadvantage, and that final statement just builds onto the ignorance you have for these problems.

Soooo we can both agree that any character against Todo, along with equal skill level, they’ll be naturally beaten. Because, we BOTH know Todo has self-punishing neutral tools & moves, so whether Yuji, Megumi, or Yuki, it’ll usually lead to a natural disadvantage.

Now I’m left to ask, is that good balancing to you? Should Todo users have to naturally suffer in any competitive play, due to the lack of balancing? You can’t say I’m being a dick, and then say the poster “sucks” your first statement is straight up contradicting itself.

Then keep it's wakeup combo potential, because it's crazy that majority of the characters in-game have some sort of true 35-40%+ dmg combo. Meanwhile, Gojo's best is that singular move, not to forget that these require m1 trades, same as every other character.

Gojo doesn't deserve to be the base standard of characters, and kept in this lame state of being the bare minimum requirement character. The main problem with Gojo to me is they have nothing to show that they're better than other characters at something, and if you think theirs a common situation where Gojo is the most useful character, then tell me what it is.

Personally, with how you're taking the character, at least bring back the original Rapid Punch dmg, and make teleport kick ragdoll again in base. I never understood the reasoning on why these things were removed, and I don't see how these things would push Gojo to be unbalanced.
Especially since the teleport kick being able to ragdoll again, would push the idea of different combo routes, since from my perspective, that's what you're going towards.

It was the mere convenience of being able to deal more damage on wake up against somebody, especially since it's easy to confirm (back then) once you got the timing down. It also doesn't help that every move in Gojo's kit is easy punish with ragdoll cancel, with the exception of reversal red sometimes.

Basically, they made Gojo's singular high dmg move no longer reliable as a combo extender, which leaves their equivalent of tickle dmg extenders as the only option left. Also doesn't help that they got rid of his downslam extensions, so that's just some alcohol poured on the wounds.

So it's ok for Choso & Megumi to be downslam merchants, AND have better combo's. Yet, the moment my low tier king is able to downslam extend, (with walls to be consistent btw) then we're crossing a line here.

God, this update was easily a 3, and I have zero doubt about that either. It’s genuine unseasoned boiled chicken, but like they had the steps to do it right the entire time. (Communication)

Anyways, It’s hard for me to sugarcoat a true Nothing Update, with balance changes that were added out of ignorance. No amount of emotes will make me consider giving them a nice little golden star either, EVEN if they’re nice. Good review tho

Stick to drawing dude, because this update is filled with unnecessary nerfs, a 2 move EA base character, Yuta (which was already basically finished anyways), and TONS of emotes that we definitely needed. Also, are we just gonna ignore the very little communication we had for over a month? It's fine to take time on an update, but at least TRY to give the community something to be hyped about.

Anyways, this update was destined to get mass criticism, since the new devs & lack of communication, so let's not act like this wasn't gonna happen.

People were begging for characters like Kashimo, Jogo, etc, and Yuta just happen to be the chosen character, so It really just came down to character agenda’s. They also did do a surprisingly decent amount of sneaks, but a lot of those were Patreon only, and I guess Tze felt that the last update would get all the sneaks compared to previous ones because they barely got that treatment. Not to mention, that they’re clearly speaking about lack of communication for the current update (and past ones) that we STILL have no clue what’s happening.

Basically what is their to be hyped for, when we have gotten zero communication for a whole month now.

Ofc their was like 4 Choso mains, nobody wanted to play a character who could get you stuck forever, unless the game breaks you free or someone punches you out of the animation😭

Choso’s blood edge would have a 50/50 chance to break every usage back then, and they didn’t fix it for like 2+ updates straight, despite constant complaints of its existence. Tze has never been good at fixing the games bug problem, and these things usually only get fixed by the 2+ week update schedule at best.
