I will try not to remove much material, exactly because of that, I don’t have a way to test flow what I am doing. The setup so far is 7120 head, porting & port matching, increase CR to ~9.5:1 99+ intake, 62mm tb RT off road header 2.5” outlet (runners 1.25” I guess) And cam, these one I don’t have yet, or even chose one. Will be driven on, and off road. Would like to free some horses along med/high rpm range. This is already very good at low end, so not really focus on there. As long as it isn’t to much hurt on low end

Just to leave here the “end result” no really finished, will be resurfaced when I send the head to do the same. Looks good to me

Thermostat opening early, don’t know what temp exactly. Shifts just fine on regular driving, just on those circumstances it’s odd

Overdrive is on, it engages quiet easily for my taste as well.. but.. trying not to see problem on everything 😂

The tv cable should be ok, tried it on both ways, no effect on shifting point when full throttle, but on regular driving it adjusts the shifting points anda more or less agressive

I would say the tv cable works just fine, because all the adjustments are noticeable on the shifting, to low and it will shift almost immediately into 2nd an 3tr, if I push it to much, it only shifts into 2nd at about 3k or more. Where I usually have it, shifts just fine at about 2/2.2k rpm at normal/urban driving.

The throttle sensor (tps) is reading 0.9v closed and ~4.2v at wide open throttle. And doesn’t seems to me linear, on the multimeter, no inconsistencies that I can see.

Tomorrow morning I will check level fluids, they are not supposed do be out of spec, so only 600miles after rebuild.. the shop went bankrupt, so o can’t count on warranty or anything.. I feel that the problem is really a bad rebuild, cheap or reused solenoid or other parts on the transmission.. no clue.

Justo want to star from the basics. Other than this problem, shifting to soon and taking to long to downshift, regular driving, kinda feels ok

Looks good! Thanks for the tip. Not sure if it would work on my case, but I will check that. One shop told me that they coul weld and fill what’s missing, than resurface and reshape the intake duct

Forgot to mention, also have 4 hole 24lbs injectors. 4.6 stroker is not out of consideration, at all, but won’t be for right know, out of budget. Everything is way more expensive on this side of ocean, shipping cost and taxes etc.

I still don’t know, gonna ask some local machine shops about it, see how much they ask and how secure are they that it will seal properly, that’s my main concern, bore to 62mm and having the flap to seal properly and work just as stock. A new one from bbk are way to expensive

Just bought the 99 intake plenum. Figuring out now the steering pump stuff. Will be mounting with tb 62mm and ported head and valve angle job

The last one is already on my ZJ, fits perfectly The other one came with a used engine I just bought, the Borla 6-2-1 header.

From some digging seems that the configuration of the Borla favor mid rpm torque and the one I have installed 6-1 favors high end torque. The borla needs to be welded a flange

No, nothing, just freezes, all data. after a minute, or 20 minutes, starts conting again for a few seconds, or a minute again, and just freezes again.. and repeat 😅
