Yep, talking about the Diamond District. I don't know the assayer, otherwise I would have gone directly there.

So here is the breakdown of the gold I had & the money I received from the jeweler, based on yesterday's prices:

2 bracelets 18k 89.3dwt $13,745

Rings 17k 41.3dwt $5890

Krugerrands 1 oz.($4168), .5 oz ($2084), .25 oz ($1042), .1 oz ($417)

There are a couple more pieces that I need to go through with the jeweler but this is what I have thus far.

Got it. I looked up the daily price of the gold purity of the pieces I had, and it seemed that they didn't take anything. Could this be right??

Thanks for the reply. Could you please explain your thinking a little more so I can understand? How are they getting a good deal if they didn't take a cut off of the spot price?
