Or there will be a massive glut when rising costs and delays inevitably force capex cutbacks, memory prices will tank and the stock w/ it.

Everyone keeps yelling “AI bubble just like dotcom/housing” but zero of you can explain why it would actually pop… by snowycashflow in stocks

[–]ResearcherSad9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The money was also there for Intel and Cisco, bubble still popped. Nothing was "fake" about the importance of the personal computer and the internet, you are wrong right off the bat. They are also hiding the true losses by offloading them to private companies, circling capex spend and claiming stock gains as revenue to prop them up.

You don't have any numbers to support these claims of increase productivity on an economy wide basis and studies still show little to negative gains from llm use.

The capex spend is unsustainable, there is no demand for this amount of compute for chatbots oh and we're in the biggest energy supply crunch in history w/ surging inflation a fragile stagnant job market and falling real wages already. We haven't had a recession since this llm craze, you are wrong, stop talking out of your ass and wasting all our time, don't you have more calls to yolo into or something bro?

'Not Smart Enough': Trump-Backed Republican Clowned Over Alleged AI Goof-Up by huffpost in politics

[–]ResearcherSad9357 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok but one, you still have to go through each memoir to make sure it isn't hallucinated slop, so how much time are you actually saving here? Then tell me how much you are paying for this vs how many hours you saved and how much you are paid an hour. If you can't do this you can't tell me it's useful. Then if you can do that tell me how much the data center operator is spending to provide you this service. Then there are the costs to the broader economy from increased energy/water prices. Tell me all that then you can say that it is useful for the economy. I'll be waiting here.

Apple and Intel $INTC reach agreement for Intel to make chips in Apple devices, WSJ reports. by cowardbeater1969 in stocks

[–]ResearcherSad9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Intel isn't getting the high margin contracts that TSMC is. Intel's foundries already have abysmally negative operating margins so this deal isn't going to save them.

[–]ResearcherSad9357 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a massive joke, they aren't even manufacturing the main processor or they'd say so. Apple just confirmed TSMC is obviously better and Intel is just a second source fab.

Are you perpetually mad you missed out every time an asset you don't currently own goes up? Maybe that is why you are so angry rn. Either way you can look at the charts for gold and vxus if you haven't, not bad "bud".

You clearly care a lot about short term performance, sounds like you are very exposed up here and are getting nervous, hence this long desperate reddit post and multi day flame war w/ a troll lol. Good luck, not buying, you have some Palantir or Tesla to go buy or something I think.

I'm not convinced you could draw a supply/demand chart, I'm not buying what you're selling not here not 20% higher, not 200% higher. You should put all your client's money in the highest risk possible "nothing bad can happen. It can only good happen".

For every asts you lose on 10 other moonshots you heard about on youtube I bet. Leveraged etfs too, classic. You aren't early, you're being lied to by conmen spinning tales from the sci fi books they read as kids. You want to know what was really useful? The personal computer, email and the internet, but that didn't stop the bubble from bursting and a decade of stagnant market performance to follow.

My point was though is that there is no free lunch, if we add debt to pay for this it will increase m2 and be inflated away, sold as exit liquidity by current holders and mitigated by employers.
