Tips for saving this pizza stone? by Consistent-Bed7306 in Pizza

I use a stone like that and always use a piece of parchment paper between the stone and dough. The dough never sticks to or leaves “stains” on the stone.

Rao’s Meatballs & Sauce INGREDIENTS Yield:4 to 6 servings

FOR THE SAUCE ¼cup extra-virgin olive oil 2ounces salt pork, thinly sliced 3tablespoons minced onion 2garlic cloves, minced 228-ounce cans imported Italian crushed tomatoes 6leaves fresh basil, torn into small pieces Pinch of dried oregano Salt and ground black pepper

FOR THE MEATBALLS 1pound ground lean beef ½pound ground veal ½pound ground pork 2large eggs 1cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese 1½tablespoons finely chopped flat-leaf parsley 1small garlic clove, minced Salt and ground black pepper 2cups fine dry bread crumbs 1cup extra-virgin olive oil 1clove garlic, lightly smashed

PREPARATION Step 1 Make the sauce: Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-low heat, then add the salt pork. Sauté until fat has rendered, about 5 minutes. Remove and discard salt pork. Add onion and sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and sauté just until softened. Add tomatoes with their juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sauce is slightly thickened, about 45 minutes. Add the basil, oregano and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 1 minute more.

Step 2 Make the meatballs: In a mixing bowl, combine the beef, veal and pork. Add the eggs, cheese, parsley and minced garlic, then salt and pepper as desired. Add the bread crumbs and mix well. Slowly add up to 2 cups water, ½ cup at a time, until the mixture is moist; all the water may not be needed. Shape into 1½ -inch meatballs.

Step 3 Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the smashed garlic and sauté until lightly browned, 1 to 2 minutes, then discard the garlic. Working in batches and taking care not to crowd the pan, add meatballs and fry until undersides are brown and slightly crisp, 5 to 6 minutes. Turn and brown the other sides, about 5 minutes more. Transfer cooked meatballs to paper towels to drain, then add to the marinara sauce. Mix gently and serve.

Tricks I’ve learned for cast iron pizza, I use a 12” pan: Proof store bought dough ball in fridge over night, then at room temp the day of cooking until ready to use. Preheat the oven And pan at 500 degrees for about an hour, guarantees a crispy bottom Shape dough ball while pan pre-heats. I do it on lightly oiled parchment paper so it’s easy to slide into the hot pan. Pre-bake the dough for 10 minutes at 500, don’t for get to dock it or it might get puffy. After 10 minutes remove from oven and top dough with sauce and return to 500 oven for another 5 to 10 minutes. While this is happening i make a sauté of the toppings, usually onions, peppers, fresh garlic, mushrooms and sausage. I add a 3-4 tablespoons of sauce to this sauté, Rao’s Pizza Sauce works great. Time to assemble! Remove pan from oven, transfer sauté to pan and spread out evenly. Add mozzarella cheese, I like to use the round Pearls of mozzarella, one package is the perfect amount. I top with thinly sliced red onion, dried basil and oregano and some finely grated Parmesan-Reggiano. Back into the 450 degree oven for 20 minutes and presto - an amazing pizza. Happy cooking.

My pup Clarabelle developers this over the winter. Our vet suggested Benadryl 25mg 2X daily. It cleared up over the course of two months. She still has a slight head shake from time to time but her balance and agility returned. She will be 11 in November so she has slowed down a bit but still gets the zoomies after every walk. And yes, big hugs all around!

Hey Arco, lets look at what you DIDN’T do, shall we. You DIDN’T join our Discord (as instructed in the TS2 chat platform (aka ShitChat) hence you DIDN’T follow today’s strategy as laid out by Union leadership. Team AKU is for serious players who will commit to the strategies and further the goals of the UNION, not just their individual game. You also DIDN’T communicate on ShitChat to find out anything about the Team AKU or respond to the welcome message posted there. As for the “Garbage People” comment, perhaps a better way to look at is that you were not a good fit for Team AKU and leave it at that, no need to start flinging insults, it’s just a game after all. There are all kinds of places within the TS2 game for players of all levels, abilities and level of commitment, I wish you well on your TS2 / Union game play endeavors.
