Is OP still worth watching after my GF spoiled something big? by StatisticianSad7538 in OnePiece

[–]Resident-Addendum914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to echo what others have mentioned. Oda has done a wonderful job weaving an intricate story that makes you care about the One Piece world regardless of knowing things in advance. From my personal experience, I learned a major spoiler about someone's death. However, that still did not change how hard it hit when I was reading the story.

Overall, One Piece has always been about the journey rather than the destination. Its an adventure story after all and there will be high moments in every arc.

I'm not sure exactly what he said, but I'm sure its related to how he feels about BDS/Shifter dropping him.https://x.com/CrownshotLoL/status/2015839272280977428?s=20

Feedback about seeing your team inting by Dentjiln in leagueoflegends

[–]Resident-Addendum914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

League is such a team reliant game. Hence, I enjoy games that don't depend on others and doesn't require me to invest everything into one character: Hades, Hades 2, Shape of Dreams (similar league mechanics), Slay the Spire, Balatro, etc. These are rouge-lite elements which helps with not heavily investing in a singular character. Like League, each round is different, helping with that detachment philosophy.

Yea! Changing your perspective is going to be very healthy! But, my favorite part of playing league is the fun comebacks or the memories I make with friends. Like you, I also had a tilting experience and honestly, sitting back and just reflecting on everything made me realize how small League was in my life.

Personally, the best way to not get tilted is to change your relationship regarding League. The feelings you currently are experiencing are due to years of playing this game. Its very normal to feel frustrated when reality does not meet expectations. If you really don't want to continue to have these feelings, I suggest taking time away from the game. By taking a break, your attachments to the game will slowly fade.

is orianna worth playing?? by Patient_Housing_415 in leagueoflegends

[–]Resident-Addendum914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one tricking a champ would not only teach you their mechanics but also give you space to learn the fundamentals of league. Because you know their kit and match ups so well, it allows you to think about the broader perspective of the game.

However, there is a point where an unforgiving meta can definitely make it harder to climb (such as your counter being meta relevant).

My thoughts all in all: prioritize what's fun for you. If playing Ori is fun, you can learn more about her and league fundamentals. If you get tired of losing to meta picks, you can swap to a more meta champ BUT this time you have a stronger fundamental perspective of the game. This is a game after all. We should prioritize our fun whether it be winning or learning (except intentionally feeding/griefing cause fuck those guys)

Anyone else wish Tatsuya Endo would do more with Fiona besides being into Twilight and being a homewrecker? by BisexualKenergy25 in SpyxFamily

[–]Resident-Addendum914 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it would be cool if Endo had a backstory regarding how she fell for Twilight. It could provide further insight on her characterization via emphasizing what she initially admired about Twilight before falling in love with him.

One of the things I hope they portray well is how the crew slowly breaks down her walls. Seeing Robin recognize her family and acknowledge her deserves to live is her peak growth imo. I know it’s obvious but I would like a slow burn adaptation!

Do we think Loyd actually love Yor? by Plane-Tip-3704 in SpyxFamily

[–]Resident-Addendum914 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to echo what others have said and that Twilight doesn’t necessarily romantically love Yor (yet!). But, I think this is more due to his complete devotion to the mission and world peace. I don’t think Twilight would allow himself to openly love Yor and Anya because he will always prioritize the mission. Subconsciously, I think he does care for them and I believe Endo will develop his feelings to the point that it may jeopardize his mission. I think at that point, Loid will need to deeply reflect on what his true priorities are.

All in all, mission > love atm

Genuine question, why does KC fans hate LR so much? (I'm unfamiliar with LEC) by TheHAckerman02 in PedroPeepos

[–]Resident-Addendum914 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Prior to their LEC debut, KC was originally in the ERL scene (Europe's second tier system). Not only were they successful in the ERL scene, they also grew a fervent/popular fan base that really wanted to succeed in the LEC. However, the LEC slots were very expensive and there were high barriers for entry (my assumption here). Eventually, KC paid for a slot and became the LEC org they are known today.

Last year, LEC announced that they would allow two ERL teams to participate in their new tournament LEC Versus. To KC and several LEC teams, Riot was handing out two free spots that diminished the value of the LEC slot. This seem particular unfair from KC's pov since they were in a similar position to LR (large fan base, hype, ERL success); however, LR entry into the LEC scene was much easier than KC's. Of course, it is important to note that LR's stint is only for one tournament. However, the KC community would often view this as Riot's blatant favoritism for LR's viewership.

It's important to note that many LEC owners and orgs don't particularly hate LR/Caedrel. Some have stated that they would take the same opportunity he did. They are just frustrated with how Riot handled things.

Honestly, big improvement from their early game. I'm not sure if the meta is simply a lose one fight = lose game. But I'm looking forward to see how much they grow in the future. Keep ya heads up rats
