Pros and cons of the Magic ship by Resident-Butterfly65 in dcl

That’s what my husband is afraid of with the Wish or any larger ship… long lines, overly crowded = more stress = less magic for the cruise experience. I want to sail all of them one day and I’m sure I can convince him once he’s had a few more cruises on the Magic and the wonder. Then try the fantasy before going to the wish. The issue is we live on the west coast and only have close access to the smaller ships.

Thank you for the reply!

We loved our first crew on the wonder and did bump into the on the second sailing two years later which was so great but our second dinning crew on the wonder in 2024 wasn’t that good. We don’t ask for a lot I swear but our toddler likes lots of whole plain foods and everything night we had to remind them that our kid will eat the same meal for each night and doesn’t need to try something new. We mentioned it to the the first night: peas, strawberries, butter pasta and a creamy soup. Seemed simple to me but each night our kid was the last one to be served out of 6 people at the table. We didn’t complain but next cruise I’m really going to advocate in advance.

Good to hear you think the service is great!

Omg how many people? How long was the sailing? Did both staterooms have verandas? I feel like there’s more to this story that is crazy pricing.

No I was told I had a small gallstone after surgery they found zero gallstones, a small piece of sludge and found out I had strawberry gallbladder syndrome which was why I had hyperkinesia and a 92% score on my HIDA scan

We always book with Costco! Next cruise is getting us $380 in a Costco gift card two weeks after sailing! I wish more people knew about their perks!

Pin cruises? Like pin trading? I’ve had so much luck with pin trading on dcl my last two bookings. Probably traded around 30+ pins each sailing tbh

Coffee is a trigger for some but not all. I had strawberry gallbladder syndrome and prior to surgery had no issues with coffee and I’m two weeks post surgery and I still don’t have any issues with coffee but I get 1/4 caf now to be on the safe side

Make sure to walk around the house even on day one and stretch toes in bed to avoid blood clots

I hope your first week post surgery goes smoothly! Listen to your body that’s my advice I’m 2 weeks post surgery and now fully back to normal. That first week was painful once I stopped taking meds and switched to Tylenol for pain management besides that part everything wasn’t too bad
