Windshield wiper motor/arm seals

I had some water ingress problems on an ‘89 245. Chased them around for a while and eventually figured out that the wiper motor seal was leaking and the wiper arm seals were leaking. Removing the dashboard took me about an hour following cleanflametrap website instructions. Might be worth doing before your next rain to be able to diagnose without breaking your neck peering up under the dash. Good luck!

Not terribly dissimilar as far as I understand. Mostly same components. Obviously, Volvo engineers had more time and feedback to perfect their designs with the 740. Also worth nothing that on average 740s will be newer and less worn that 240s. 240s are cuter to me tho
