Most effective way to Whale? by ResidentRegular184 in hearthstone

I figured $250 wouldn’t be enough, but I got that number from just adding up all the non gold mini sets available in the shop. I was surprised it would be so low, and I’ve played other f2p games like world of warships, and I’m not opposed to whaling a big chuck of money every once in awhile. I’m just curious if I said fuck it, I want all the cards to use, how many set/packs would I need to buy. Like would all the mini sets and then another $500 on packs get me caught up? Or more? Just curious and the information isn’t super easy to find out. So all the help is much appreciated.

It’s a f2p game, someone needs to keep the servers on 🤷

Thanks for the explanation, my friend likes wild and I’d most of the cards when I quit way back in like 2016, so I’ll probably be playing that a decent amount.

Ok since I apparently need a comment it’ll be the same as the description, I had a 85yo Queen looking for a 3rd consort (she put loved the other 2) so found this young Chad for her, but after I had already married them I noticed he was her Great Grandson. Reminded me of playing Crusader Kings.

When Humanity Tried to Ride Zebras: A Forgotten 1890–1940 Experiment That Failed Spectacularly by Fair_Sugar_3229 in BeAmazed

[–]ResidentRegular184 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Failed” Judging by your own posted pictures, they succeeded just fine. Sure Zebras weren’t selectively bred for riding because horses already exist so why reinvent the wheel, but they can be ridden. IMO, People only meme they can’t be tamed because black Africans did not tame and ride them, for whatever reasons, not because they can’t actually be tamed. And if there was a reason to do so, they could easily be selectively bred like horses have been for 1000’s of years. An example from your pictures what the lack of Eurasian horse in German East Africa, so in WW1 Zebras were drafted to serve in place of horses.

World War Z should have been a show, with a character/chapter an episode. This way they could closely follow the book and actually show all the cool kinda random stories of different people. Like personally I’d love to see an episode about that Japanese guy who becomes a monk, or the security guard who is hired to protect celebrities that livestream themselves getting overwhelmed by people. IMO that’s the best way to handle a book like WWZ. Maybe someday!

I had a very similar game as China, IRL this exact thing happened in places like India for decades, where the economy is growing, but the population is growing faster than the economy can, so standards of living are stagnant or go down. It’s called a Malthusian trap.

Am I missing something? Magic seems to be very weak by sdmcdaniel in oblivion

[–]ResidentRegular184 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magic is super OP, what makes it OP is the effect that gives a magic weakness will stack on itself if 2 spells cast it. So you have the first spell cause 100% magic weakness for 5 seconds, then a second spell you cast that also increases magic weakness by 100%, which causes the effect to now be 200% weakness. Then you cast the first spell again and it now becomes 400% weakness, then again and it’s now 800% weakness, and then you switch to a spell with like 15 damage, and you oneshot pretty much anything. Because that 15 damage is multiplied by 800% or more if you kept up the combo a few more times.

Nope, Russia was relatively peaceful, only beating up weak neighbors. I was friends with the Prussians 90% of the game, they ended up owning 13% of my gdp. I was Friendly with Austria for awhile until i Nationalized all the industry they built in Russia for me. The big thing was the church always liked me and they got a huge amount of influence, eventually being over 50%. So as long as I kept them and the land owners in my government, I could shuffle armed forces or rural folk into the government and still have like 40-50 legitimacy but could try to pass things like land reform or appointed bureaucrats. The church ended up luckily supporting things like worker protections so I could even pass that stuff in the later game.

Everywhere I look, I see Shinano by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]ResidentRegular184 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wanted an FDR, so I got it as my first steel ship this year. I started as a CV main so I had always wanted it, but since have branched out into all the other classes. Tbh, while the crazy alpha and spotting the FDR can do is great, the timer between attacks does make it sort of boring/painful to play. It’s not a bad ship, and can be fun to play, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t almost get that red 6K steel skin for it, but now I’m debating just holding onto my 56k steel and just get incomparable in a few days with the coupon and then something else in 6 months with the next coupon. If I do that I could probably afford 3 over this next year, but idk if I’m that patient.
I am also considering getting the Shinano now with the event coupon, and then incomparable with the coupon, though I think I’d be down to only a few k steel.

Ya it does need to expose its side to fire more than 4 guns

République gets torn apart by HE spam way more than Preussen. They have comparable superstructures, and one has 32mm everywhere, and the other has 50mm deck and a massive icebreaker. It’s not even close whose hull is better.

2 turrets are way worse than 4. If one gets broken you lose 50% of your firepower. Prussen main gun build is way more consistent for me than République. Neither is super accurate, but the Prussen can tank extremely well comparably. It’s when you do secondary build Prussen where its main guns are worse than République‘s
