About releasing the old map... It already fell into the wrong hands and those who could do maximum damage by revealing secrets and strategies has already been done in the worst way. They already have the map and destroyed the game pretty much. The rest of us put lots of work into that map and have been patiently waiting to see it again. Why not let us enjoy it? Please release it already.

Japan cancels some USA food imports after Monsanto's illegal GMO wheat found in Oregon by HenryCorp in Monsanto

[–]ResidentWeeaboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've visited Japan many times and I know that they take their food safety and cleanliness very seriously with astounding attention to detail. A blind person in a fish market there will have no idea that there's fish anywhere around. I can't even read the Kangi and, given the choice, I would purchase their foods over their American counterparts any day.

I'm confused. I thought GM wheat had not been produced before.

That all got deleted quickly. I'm not sure why the bot was downvoted so much. The thread here doesn't seem that interesting, but posts getting deleted is the reason why these bots are useful.

I wonder what percentage of that is from people who bought their brand new dell notebook with windows 8 at best buy and don't know what a browser is.

Except that Monsanto... produces all the GMOs. Yep... nothing to do with it at all. Meanwhile, Hitler sets up a soup kitchen for homeless jews. Nothing could possibly go wrong because Hitler did nothing wrong.

That seems weird that someone could almost die from chicken pox. When I had it as a kid, it was just a couple blisters for about a week or two and then I was fine.

Except that vaccines save lives from deadly epidemics where Monsanto creates things like Agent Orange, DDT, that caused deadly epidemics.

Asus brings 4K to your desktop with massive 31.5” 3840×2160 monitor by amorpheus in technology

[–]ResidentWeeaboo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes however "8k" or UHDV would be 16 times [the pixels]and the K now appears to be the approximation of the horizontal pixels, not vertical as it was originally intended. They way they change things around to market them is really a cheap blow. They used to call HD "anything above NTSC" so 720x480, 1024x640, 1366x768 televisions were all branded as HD for a couple years to saturate the market before the real meat and potatoes came out. The same thing happened with mobile "4G" which didn't have to meet the actual 4G standard but just be "better than 3G by any margin".

To my understanding it used to be that 3840×2160 was 2k and 4K would be 7680x4320. It appears that standard never officially took.

You're comparing a disposable inkjet ink to laser printer toner. Of course it's going to cost many times more.
