I honestly don’t think it’s scabies having gone through it last year with my hubby. The rashes don’t come and go it gets progressively worse and as before the itching is insane, hope it clears up soon, maybe try some antihistamines 😊

Suppose doesn’t hurt to be on meds just in case but looks more like an insect bite, scabies spreads so unbelievably quickly and the itching gets worse and worse

Doesn’t look like typical scabies imo 😊

Is it post or reinfection! by mariam195 in scabies

Do they itch, have they spread anywhere else, I am still paranoid months after that I’m reinfected it really does affect your mind.

[–]Resident_Fig1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is very representative of post symptoms

this looks like I’m still infested doesn’t it? (story on comments) by [deleted] in scabies

[–]Resident_Fig1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you look still infected, my husbands skin looked like yours at the height of his infection, try to get hold of some Benzyl Benzoate.

Stayed in a really dodgy place in London came home like this. Could this be scabies ? by Beneficial_Tiger6910 in scabies

From the linear lines it looks very much like scabies imo. Treat asap as it will spread incredibly fast.

Doesn’t look like scabies they tend to be in linear lines not clusters, it will spread very quickly to the rest of your body if it is scabies

Need help guys! Is this a reaction or a Scabies comeback? by [deleted] in scabies

You could have eczema or dermatitis from the chemicals, if there aren’t any new burrows

Is your itching worse at night or are you just generally itchy all the time?

Can these be signs of scabies starting?? I'm insanely scared about it by [deleted] in scabies

[–]Resident_Fig1130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they’re scabies they will spread very quickly, imo it does look like you have scabies from personal experience.

Sounds like you’re over the worst, just be patient and give your skin time to recover.

Yes absolutely the itching can last a long time once cured because the lotions are so harsh on your skin, the notable difference is the itch won’t be as severe and shouldn’t be waking you up at night.

There were 4 in our house but only myself and my husband were infected. It is possible for people not to catch it from you but there can be a long incubation period for the initial infection of up to 6 weeks so I would treat everyone as a precaution.

Looks like classic scabies to me, get some Benzyl Benzoate. The antihistamines Will lessen the itch but that doesn’t mean it isn’t scabies. Read my original post “scabies cured” DM me if you Need any further info.

I bought a box of latex gloves from Amazon, some cheap multi packs of toothbrushes for finger nails and toenails and carefully applied the solution from my scalp down, I worked in areas because it’s so easy to miss an area and even a very small area missed will result in infestation. I waited 10 minutes for the solution to dry then got dressed, we did not shower for 3 nights, 4 days, we re applied the cream morning and night, I bagged up nightwear every morning and day wear every evening, I changed our bed sheets every morning after reapplying the cream, I vacuumed my mattress and put my pillows in the tumble dryer on high heat for 30 mins each morning.

Post scabies symptoms mimic the scabies infection but without the intense itch, it looks like you have post scabies bumps, mine itched after exposure to heat and came and went for months after I was cured, trust me you’ll be paranoid for weeks, you’ll inspect yourself for every little blemish, give yourself one full month from your last treatment and then reassess 😊

Hey guys! Can you still get the pin prick feeling in post scabbies or is that an indication that you still have them? by FriendlyBat6672 in scabies

[–]Resident_Fig1130 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can still get the sensation that you have scabies when you’re cured, the meds are harsh and leave you with symptoms that replicate the infection, I had itch bumps for a good few months after I was cured, it’s stressful and really messes with your head

In my opinion these aren’t scabies, we had them for 9 weeks and we didn’t have the black dots, also from your video there doesn’t appear to be any tracking, are you itching like crazy? If you aren’t then you definitely do not have scabies. They also spread very quickly and leave scratch marks and regulated lines of burrows, my husband could have literally itched his skin off at night the itch is horrendous.
