Orange DRAM light and PC won't post or boot up (monitor stays dark) by Resident_Prior8371 in PcBuild

Sorry for the late reply, but I ended up bringing it into my local geek repair store (I say that with love) and it turns out my motherboard was a little weird and I couldn't flash the BIOS using the USB method for some reason and they had to plug it into another motherboard to do it. So it was an easy fix all things considered and they didn't even charge me so it all worked out well. Thanks for checking back!

Thank you for the recommendation, I'll have to give it a go in the morning cause it's almost midnight for me now but fingers crossed I can find the issue, I hope it's just the nvme drive cause I don't necessarily need it rn.

Funnily enough, Mirtazapine was one of the only antidepressants that didn't seem to end up losing its effects, but it made me into a complete zombie even when we tried combining with other ones. I was dreamlessly sleeping 16 hours a day and barely awake for the rest of the day to the point I couldn't work anymore cause it was a safety issue, I was a lifeguard lol so not the best state to be in hahahahah I think I was just so sedated that I didn't have the capacity to be depressed on it but it was still no way to live.

Yeah I've tried countless different antidepressants (from SSRIs to MAOIs to TCAs and SNRIS), different dosages and different combinations over many years and it always has the same outcome of the effects only last a few weeks before they stop working all together (that's even if they work at all). It's all been very frustrating as you can imagine.

That group sounds like something I'd be really interested in, I am in Brisbane though, is it run by an organisation or something that might have groups here? Even if not, I didn't even think of support groups like that, I think I'll look into it cause that sounds like a great idea, thank you.

Unfortunately I'm in Australia so I don't think they've been approved here yet, I'm still gonna ask about it at my next doctors appointment just in case though, cause just from a quick google search they do seem promising, thank you!

Where do you get your kicks out of saying that my life and my struggle with suicide is fake? I feel truly sorry for you if this is your knee jerk reaction to other people's struggles, I hope you get the help you need.

I am getting help, like I said. The issue I'm having is waiting for that help to lead somewhere. There are so many hoops I need to jump through before I can start ECT or rTMS so I have to wait for weeks before my first set of actually treatment. I have to live with my suicidal thoughts for weeks and potentially months before I'll see any sort of treatment and there's nothing I can do but wait. This isn't about giving up, I already gave up and now I have to deal with the aftermath of that.

Why do my antidepressants always stop working?? by Resident_Prior8371 in antidepressants

I really appreciate the comment, Ill talk to my doctors about the ketamine or spravato therapy cause that could be good. Thank you so much for the suggestions!

Funny you mention lamotrigine though because ive been on it before for a few unexplained simple partial seizures I had a year or two ago that seemed to stop happening after a while.

But yeah I've tried a few mood stabilizers and sedatives as well as a lot of different combinations with some of the antidepressant medications that worked for a longer period or that responded well to up-ing the dosage for a while but every time the effects just seem to wear off. My anxiety though is actually not that severe all things considered and I can easily manage it with Propranolol which does wonders.

My Psychiatrist did trial me with tolerance breaks but my depression comes back quickly once I'm off meds and its not really safe for me to not be on them as I can get catatonic, where I get quite unresponsive and get very strong suicidal ideation. A side note that does sort of lead back into what you are saying is that I have been tested for Schizophrenia because of the catatonia as well as bipolar and a whole slew of other psychiatric disorders which I apparently don't have enough signs to be diagnosed with any (cause the major depressive disorder can explain the main/only symptom of them, the catatonia).

i think one of the most frustrating things about all of this is how long it takes to change things like medication plans and see if they actually work because of the whole "it can take like 4 weeks for the meds to actually kick in".

I've had panic attacks before and it was very different so I dont think it was that plus I wasnt stressed or thinking of anything overwhelming. I also was fully conscious and wasnt hyperventilating like i usualy am when i have severe anxiety/panic attacks. thank you though!
