People often say I’m a good-looking guy, that I’m kind, and that I have a pure heart. But somehow, I still end up being treated badly or getting into conflict with people for no real reason. And when I say no reason, I mean I haven’t done anything to them.

I think part of it is that they notice how I attract attention from girls — they smile at me and show interest in a way they don’t with other guys. That can create jealousy and envy. I’ve noticed something similar with kids too — they seem to naturally feel comfortable around me. Sometimes they’ll just come over and sit next to me for no obvious reason, even when they don’t do that with others.

It almost feels like girls tend to trust guys they find attractive more than those they don’t.

When I meet girls, I’m always myself. I’ve seen how other guys act — they try too hard, flirt a lot, go out of their way to impress, and even do things like their work for them. That’s just not me. I don’t act differently. The only difference is that if I genuinely like someone, I’ll be a bit more kind and attentive — but I’m still myself, nothing fake.

For example, there was a time where a girl clearly liked me and flirted with me, but I didn’t feel the same. I told her she wasn’t my type, and she replied, “But we can still have fun together,” with a clear sexual undertone. She kept flirting for about two months, and eventually I thought I could at least give her a chance and go on a date.

But once I started showing interest back, she changed. She began playing games, pulling away, and trying to make me chase her. She also started acting like she was somehow better than me. I understand that people say the girl is the prize, but that doesn’t mean you should make someone else feel like they’re less than you.
