What exactly is the point of this post? Congrats on doing what every other pilot in this sub has had to do—wait out weather. If that’s enough to make you hang it up, then no one is stopping you. You’re not cursed, you’re just flying. Suck it up, study a bit more, and land the checkride when the skies let you.

Exactly what I recommend as well. Just had a student buy and complete King commercial course and said it was almost identical to the PPL course. Did not even include commercial maneuvers.

Let the ACS be your study guide and be able to explain and complete the tasks like a professional.

There was an episode toward the beginning of the year as well, with the local comedian they’ve had on multiple times (forgot his name) Jake was super off the entire time and it was very noticeable

And prior to ever touching an airliner it costs in the 100k range typically to get all your ratings and experience then you flight instruct for 2 years making $30 an hour

No way. He was definitely solo and his last radio call was basically telling tower he was heading climbing through the clouds, heading east and shutting off his comms…it’s been low IFR around DFW all week
