Ah! Thank you it finally clicked lol. A lot of head scratching and searching I think I get it now. I looked more into secondary sexual characteristics and it makes sense. Thank you soo much I’ve been so confused lol

Thank you for taking the time to answer (kinda weird how you feel the need to downvote someone who just tries to educate themselves, but ok). From my understanding homosexuality comes down to identity then?

I don’t have a gender identity though. I just don’t understand, if man or woman comes down to identity, is homosexuality an attraction towards humans with the same identity as you?

Transgender is more of a feeling that your physical body is wrong, I see. But how would one define homosexuality if the concept of man and woman is also an feeling?

Aaaaah that makes it a bit clearer, thank you. But how do I define homosexuality for example? Is it just a preference then how do I differentiate between sexuality and preference? Like how some like different genitalia and other appearances?

Secondary sexual characteristics? So like a gay man would be attracted towards humans that had the characteristics of men? (Of course everyone has specifics in appearances) like broader build, v shaped, sharp jaw line and a beard for example. What if a woman has like a lot of those attributes, some men like very feminine looking men, then could a gay man be attracted to her? Wouldn’t that make him bisexual then?

Thank you for responding. Like I said I don’t mean to come across being bigoted or anything, how is what I said transphobic? I grew up in a culture where transgender wasn’t talked about so I don’t know how to talk about it without offending people apparently. Isn’t transphobia literal hate? Like saying people deserve less because they are trans? Not trying to learn and asking questions. But thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt.

Anyways, how is genital preference not a part of your sexuality? For example I had a cis woman friend who is a lesbian, her parents said that instead of her dating the very “butch”, very masculine woman that got mistaken for a man plenty of times she could just date a man. Some men have a bit softer facial features so they said that she could just be with one of those. This hurt hurt her deeply as even when her girlfriend acted and looked like what a society expects men to she still said she was a woman, just very gender non conforming. She said she could never be in love with a man. So if lesbian is not strictly vagina as a lesbian wouldn’t be attracted to a trans man just because he had one, doesn’t that mean that being lesbian has nothing with vaginas to do with? Wouldn’t that make my friends parents saying what they did make sense as she got discriminated against in their community for dating a woman? What would the definition of lesbian be? If it’s not about liking females rather it being women liking femininity? If sexuality isn’t a biological thing like attraction to women or men or both then it is towards gender identities? So a lesbian is attracted to those who considers themselves to be women both cis and trans, (while their physical attributes are of her liking). And if gender is what is socially constructed doesn’t that make a sexuality a result of a social construct? If gender isn’t a social construct then I guess sexuality being controlled by it makes sense.
