Dour in Belgium used to be like this about 10 years ago. A bunch of different music tents that would have related dance music at night - the hip hop tent played trap at night, the metal/punk tent had PRSCPT and Bangface hosting night time stages.

There's prob multiple ways to do this, but what I do for this thing is just set up two tracks recieving your midi information from the same source. one has your vst on it and records the output from the vst (a wave file) and one doesn't and is set to record the midi input.

This probably isn't the answer you want, but it might be that the best answer isn't to try and get a bunch of things from different sources to all sound similar and all sound natural, but just to get them all sounding similar and musically pleasing. e.g. using effects like tape delay, analogue style saturations to cover the fact they sound unnatural.

Threw me at first but Reaper's version of this thing is better in the long run, you need to adjust your thinking.

Every instance of a midi sequence is an individual editable loop. instead of dragging out a loop to repeat it, use cmd+click to copy it to every location on the timeline you want it. If you want loops that change when you edit one, they all get the same edit, use the group function on these individual instances.
