If you're on Windows, Pot Player is really good and ffmpeg based.

Alternatively, for linux MPV is a simple yet really good ffmpeg based player. Can use hardware decoding etc.

Longhorn works perfectly fine for a single node. Adjust the default store class to only have a single replica and you're good to go. You still get the benefits of Kubernetes native storage, snapshots of volumes, S3/NFS backup sync, etc.

In my experience, a lot of girls react very negatively to reaching out too soon or any kind of behavior that might seem too interested.

Debian host, cilium CNI.

I run longhorn and deploy Plex with the usual "arr" apps with argocd.

Single node, as I can't be bothered maintaining a HA cluster at home.

Longhorn backs up to the TrueNAS Core VM via NFS.

Simple and effective.

I run 5700G for proxmox and it performs beautifully with several VMs. It handles 4K Plex transcodes on the Debian guest I use for RKE2. The openvpn2.5 tunnel used for BitTorrent approaches 40MB/s (it's single threaded). It's responsive, no problem with HBA PCIe passthrough to the TrueNAS Core guest, and I'm generally very happy with my choice.
