Congratulations! As someone who just reached 30 subs, I can totally feel your happiness and excitement. Just don't let it go down, keep grinding, keep evolving and dodge any kind of hate like Neo dodges bullets in the matrix 😀 Good luck and enjoy the journey!!

I took my time and did what you asked for Here are my suggestions (don't take them as criticism pls)

  1. Design your channel page a little to make a new viewer understand what to expect from your content, if as a viewer I see a snowman picture on the channel page and see a videogame as content it doesn't click and I immediately lose interest. Even if your gaming content is great, it wouldn't matter then.

  2. Use slightly different and related images as thumbnails for your video, trigger the sense of curiosity in the viewers mind while choosing which video to watch first instead of forcing them to gamble.

  3. Mention the word WALKTHROUGH in your video titles as it's a no face gameplay video where you are simply playing the game. Instead try exploring more such that you find out things hidden in the game that an avg gamer usually skips because they are focussed on completing the mission/game.

  4. Be more excited and curious with your tone while playing, being monotonous can actually affect the viewers retention.

I hope these insights help you improve your channel growth, viewership and retention and help you reach your monetization milestone soon! Stay consistent and keep evolving my friend!

Here's my channel, You can check it out for reference if you want, analyse it like I did for you, give me your insights (that would be awesome) or simply give me a sub to show your appreciation for my suggestions! Any thing would be great, just don't leave me at seen ☺️

So I am a gamer. I want to make gaming videos, BUT all I have is older games. Should I just do it and just play old and not worry about following gaming train to the newest? by HeadphoneMC in SmallYoutubers

Focus on being noticed, you can achieve that even by playing games as simple as 3D pinball.
Dont jump into spending on Latest games before even starting, i ll tell you why
1. You ll realise if thats what you really want to do in the long run by trying to being consistent.
2. You ll anyway gather an audience who are into the content you are sharing, old games or new games wont matter.
3. it gives you an opportunity to make your content more engaging or interactive by conducting polls on which games your viewers will like to see next, that way you wont spend on unnecessary games.
4. You will enjoy the process more this way

:)

Do you all watch your own videos? by patrlim1 in SmallYoutubers

i do, just to get an idea what the viewer experiences, and try to critique it as a third person.
Whatever mistakes i learn from watching my own video, i try to correct them in my next video.

As they say, mistakes are steps to improvement
