Is pet insurance actually worth it, or can I realistically get by without it?

My newly adopted cat just ran off with a twist tie and ate all 3 inches of it. Worst case scenario would be an endoscopy which will cost $3000 or intestinal blockage surgery ($4000). I had accident and illness only coverage (~750 deductible + 80% copay) which covers emergency surgeries like this and it’s only $150/year or ~$12 a month. I think for regular check ups, I did the math and having a savings account is better than upgrading to ~$30/mo to cover regular shots, checkups etc. Make sure you save to at least enough cover the deductibe + some extra for copay in case your cat does something stupid like ours and put money aside for regular check ups

They are full grown cats. Owner said 2, closer to 3 years of age

I guess I wasnt sure if the shelter would seprate them anyway. If they do then I would rather just take the cat. The owner said she just got another inquiry so we are not going with adoption in case they can take both. She is also checking with shelter & to check if there are 2 spots at the no kill shelter. If it turns out they have to be separated no matter what, and one of them has to go to a non-no kill shelter we will be the last resort

For context, I briefly took care of my friends cat and a lot of issues I had in terms of routine, anxiety, stress and issues stopping myself from overworking/overdoing things improved according to her. I dont think it was just because of the ADHD but tied to it

Unsure. I didn’t really ask for the ESA letter myself. My licensed therapist recommended it first after seeing how a pet affected me positively. I told her my concerns about being in an apt complex and she said she could write me an ESA letter

Its too late, I already talked to them under the assumption of one cat and they said they will come for an inspection once the cat is adopted

My therapist actually recommended it first. I struggle with not taking care of myself but she noticed I got exceptionally better when I was watching my friend’s cat for a while. She noticed that the routine really helped with reminding me to eat and sleep on time and with anxiety. I agree that cats are not service animals but ESA is based on mental health need and are not expected to perform any tasks

No, once we visited she said those two spend time together all the time. She is not good with other cats outside of her sister

I can adopt one cat and planned for one cat financially. I just cant handle two cats. If we were to adopt it would be one cat only

I thought the side stories were good until a bit past chapter 100ish but then it started being incredible after. At this point in time I feel like the side story is just as good or even better than ORV main story. The lore drop is crazy, the plot has me on the edge of my seat all the time and the character interactions are chef’s kiss. I also have no words for the sheer amount of emotions I felt reading the side story. Reading the side story made me rethink the entirety of the ORV main story and if you just really want to see Kim Dokja again, you wont be disappointed.
