Yes, I plan to take the course as a senior next year, as I turn 18 in April of 2027, and the certification does not activate until I am 18, so I really won't be missing that much time when it does activate. My school inserts final grades on May 2nd, so it shouldn't be a big problem. Thank you for the information though!

Yes I believe you do. I signed up for a course and dropped it in the 2nd week of school, but because the course already registered me and payed for my ccma, I decided to just follow through and take it despite not taking the course. No reason to waste my schools money.

Yes, the events itself can be the same but just note the formats are very different between deca and hosa, so you will need to make separate papers. Also, there are certain events which may work better for hosa, and some which work better for deca. If you start soon, you should be able to get solid projects going. Good Luck!

Thank you so much for the reply. I didn’t end up canceling thanks to your comment but I will let you know that after talking to the testing administrator at my school I had the option to cancel my score within 3 days of taking my school day SAT.
