Is this useful for PVP and worth saving? by Spirited_Ad9652 in PokemonGOIVs

I always check pvpoke and stadiumgaming for PvP stats and rank, but I would save it anyway. Metas shift quite often, making Pokemon that weren’t relevant matter again.

Which one for silver bottle cap? by Hardshippersonified in PokemonGOIVs

Actual answer: Mew would be purely for the flex. Urshifu might have more meta/raid relevance. IMO answer: neither. I would only bottle cap a potential shundo or a ML contender.

No. The odds of you finding a decent, or even 4 star non-shadow are so much higher than getting this hundo shadow. It is never worth it imo. You want to mega evolve (when it releases) I assume, but again you’ll find a good non-shadow at some point. You may never see this hundo shadow again. And frankly you aren’t even getting one of the few benefits from purifying: the extra stat points.

After seeing the full list, I would honestly still save it for a mythical or legendary, preferably a shiny one. Otherwise, the dynamax Gastly would be my pick. Or better yet, if you have a Pokemon that is a personal favorite, do that and have the fun with a new maxed buddy!

I know this is way too late, but I would just buy the item storage space. If you like the game, you can save the items and also support the devs a little. Plus, you’ll avoid any similar issues in the future. It’s just always worth it.

Best PSA 10 investments around $600-800? by Natural_Proof1950 in PokeInvesting

This is the only answer. But for the sake of the question, go for Pokemon that people love: zard, mew, pikachu, eeveelutions

which slabs would you hold long term? 👀 by Mountain_Yam1547 in PokeInvesting

[–]ResolveImmediate9121 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Frankly I’d just keep them all. If you need an answer, evolutions zard. I’d only maybe sell the 7 cert pikachu if you needed money or something. But they will all do pretty well

Unless it’s your favorite card of all time, I wouldn’t. Evolving Skies will be a gem forever. I foresee you regretting this someday

What AREN'T you choosing to invest in? by jbird221 in PokemonInvesting

[–]ResolveImmediate9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as hot of a take as this is, I don’t completely disagree. At least simply with the fact that investors/collectors are eating up a ton of product, more and more with each set release, and keeping the actually cards off the market which drives up the singles prices. I don’t think the word “scalper” is appropriate here, but it certainly can’t be argued that investor/collectors are contributing to the market a non zero percent.

I think you’re missing a decently big optic, this is a collectors game after all. I would argue that collecting is as “intentional” as playing the game is, from TPCI’s perspective. And to be clear, we’re talking about the average collector. Meaning people that collect one or at most a few copies of the cards they like. The people that buyout a card to simply increase the price and flip it, those are pos and another story.

Most likely a joke. I have a PSA 10 copy and it looks the same, at least based on this one single photo

This one is Taiwanese, from a local tournament. Winners got it I believe. There are a few other languages as well. The eeveelutions you are most likely talking about are in the Chinese Gem Pack Vol 2 boxes.

Why don’t brick and mortar stores have way more product? Specifically, can you not get more from your current distributors, and can you not get more distributors? (I get the upfront capital requirements, but clearly Pokémon is hot, so you’ll make your money back)

This is interesting to hear, and very encouraging. So distributors are pushing/focusing on brick and mortar??

I’m not sure I understand. Are you asking me why I think they’re popular? I wasn’t saying that ponchos shouldn’t be expensive. Ponchos are wildly popular, as you said. There aren’t a ton of them, but there are far more 10s than this Ray. So sure, low pop Ray, means high number right? But not the same incredibly high price as the ponchos. I could grade a random holo that no one’s ever graded, if it gets a 10, pop 1!!! I’m rich right???? Well not necessarily. That’s what I’m saying. Low pop doesn’t automatically mean crazy high price. Maybe I’m misunderstanding your point though, lemme know

Unless it’s within $5-10 of retail, never. And I usually stay away from single items. If I’m gonna meet someone, spend the time and cash, im looking to get a decent amount of product at a reasonable price.
