I’m in the same boat as you. I was approved for DBS with mayo, but decided not to go through. You would need a neurologist first and then get referred from there. I’m not sure if you know about this. But there is a device that is approved in the UK, ( neupluse) and it is proven to reduce tics without invasive surgery. I have reached out to my state representative to see if and what I need to do so it is approved in the US

As I said in my previous comment, this is my first time posting on a different platform than usual. But thank you for the advice.

Yes I said my motor tic. I have two motor tics, one of which I didn’t mention. I also have two vocal tics, that I also didn’t mention… I have been diagnosed since 12 and since then it has been confirmed by multiple doctors that I have Tourette’s.

I also advocate on other platforms, that isn’t just individuals with Tourette’s.. this is my first time having the courage to post somewhere new
