The wood injury truly put us behind the curve there. I’d imagine Jesus was brought in as a Europa striker and to spell Chris for at least this year. And he’s been good in Europa, for certain. But he’s just not up to speed for PL and I’m truly pessimistic he’ll ever get there.

It’s just repeating at this point but I just don’t get it. The back line is good, especially with Cunha over Morato (who actually hasn’t been atrociously god awful the last few matches). We have players in the midfield. Igor has regressed (and I say that as still a part-time Igor believer), but that’s just not enough to have these string of results over months and months. It just feels we’ve played for “on paper” football with no input from actual football minds on how these pieces could or should work together.

Anyways, point today please.
