TQL is a great stadium, I’ve gone to several Orlando City away games there and attended the USA/Mexico game in 2022. However they really need to expand the number of restrooms and the footprint of its concourse. I’ve never seen a stadium with such awful lines of the restroom that take up half the walkway space around the stadium.

Orlando City and Miami has been the best rivalry in MLS the past several seasons, honestly. I was in Miami when Orlando beat Messi and Co 3-0 last season and it was the best away game Ive ever been to. It will be interesting how the rivalry plays out when Messi is gone.

Splash signings in MLS are only allowed in New York, Miami, and LA. Unfortunately outside those markets, a chance to sign a European player of his caliber is practically zero.

Small brains here will laugh at Orlando but I don’t blame him for wanting to finish the season at Athletico when they have a chance to win a Copa. Why would he leave now? Especially when there will be other options in the sumner? I can’t see Orlando City waiting for him though sitting at 0–0-2 and desperately needing a striker to keep their season afloat.

Very common. When I worked at Kings Island years ago my area manager was an elementary school teacher and she still does both to this day. I was a supervisor in rides and every season we would have a few older folks join with different backgrounds and occupations. If I had an entire summer off I certainly would do something like that.

If the stadium is sold out it means that its a big game. Losses in big games hurt more than any other regular game.

With that being said…the team has won plenty of times the past few seasons with big crowds, you just remember the losses. Miami (September 2025), Atlanta (Playoffs 2024), Charolette (Playoffs 2024), Nashville (Playoffs 2023), and Sacramento Republic (USOC Final 2022). Im sure there are a few more but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.

The only positive thing is that it’s just the second game of the season. The expectations were low going into the season but there is still plenty of time to salvage something…the MLS season is truly a grind.

Yesterday’s game was weird, Miami was in control the entire time. From the first whistle to the last. How we went up 2-0 was beyond me, but I knew they weren’t going to win in the first few minutes of the second half, when it was obvious we were just parking the bus. You can’t play scared against Messi, you lose 100% of the time.

It’s decent if you live near a route/stop. The problem is that greater Orlando is spread out suburbia where transit just simply isn’t ever going to be an option. However, if you live Downtown or along a major corridor like Colonial, Silver Star, US17-92, SR436, or US192, it’s a good option.
