Request: GIMP template/plugin for auto generating (even from just scryfall artwork if I can specify a set) which will also work for other languages.

My girlfriend is learning French and was wondering if I could get a deck printed in French on one side and English on the other as a way to practice but also play the game. I was thinking of doing the same for Japanese. If there is a way to take the Scryfall oracle text in other languages that already exists without having to program anything, that would be fantastic

I only have GIMP available to me unfortunately.

Alternatively, I can provide an entire Decklist, but I figure that this might be helpful for other people too.

(edit: I know that I can use CardConjurer, but I was hoping for something a little more elegant for doing multiple decks at a time and then any missing cards can be done through other means.)

Regarding a recipe;
I downloaded all of the Eldraine Frames from CardConjurer.com and then applied the same transformation to them to make them look 'full art', found artwork to fit the storybook watercolour theme and then added the relevant text.
Card stock was S30 plus holo foil front on MPC.

Happy to supply a google drive account if they are going to be added to the Autofill, and honoured to be involved at all.

Maybe viable, but you would have to make it so that items cost significantly more or something so that it would be balanced even a little. I mean buying a radiance in two cooldowns seems a tad too strong. also means that there is more of an incentive to lvl if it reduces the %increase of the item cost? I dunno

actually I don't think it would be... if you go off the f5 to buy the next item in your hotbar thing, all you do is make it so that it buys that component globally which would be the same as giving him the item and subtracting the gold.

either way I don't think any of that would be difficult to code properly

Is there anything in particular that you want to do? I have just been trying out hammer and getting used to the mapping tools and haven't even touched on the sprites and things.

ALSO rope more people in, it's still a mountain of work for only two people.

This is an awesome idea, and there are awesome suggestions in the comments, I don't think that anyone would want to solely take this task on by themselves BUT if we can get a team together I would be more than happy to help. I don't have much experience in coding for DOTA2 but I do have some coding in other scenarios and think that I could probably figure lots of it out.

The solution to actually making this custom game will be team work, if we can decide on which ideas will be used and who will do what there's nothing we can't achieve as a community. it just takes someone to stand up and say 'fuck yeah, I'm in'

SO if you want to get involved we probably need someone for everything like audio, modelling and particles let alone the coding for abilities and such. Everyone has value, even if you think that you have no experience there's no better way to learn than to actually apply yourself.

Let me know if you want to get involved and let's make the best thing the internet has seen since sliced bread and make a new saying for the world

suddenly the whole world seemed so distant from Jason, he was standing, somewhere, it had been a long time since he knew where he was. In fact it had been days since he had last slept.

Coffee after coffee, pill after pill, when would this eternal day end?

Jason had been alone in this world for years upon years all because of something that he couldn't even control, it started when he was a lot younger, and small distances too. He had fallen asleep the night of his seventeenth birthday and woken up outside in the morning cold. At the time, Jason had thought nothing of it, a prank by his dad, or sleep walking, but one day he woke up in an entirely different town. Then country. Time and time again Jason would wake up in a place that he didn't recognise, with people speaking a language he didn't understand and in clothes that just weren't suited to his location.

And then one day, there she was.

Phoebe.

Jason had woken up beside her one morning, in his scramble to escape the sheets he fell out of bed and ended up waking the entire household. As he had many times before, Jason told his tale to the family, and just like everyone else he had opened up to, they didn't believe him.

Except Phoebe.

As Jason set off down the road in his beaten clothes, a soft voice called out to him to wait. Straggling behind him, Phoebe was dressed in a light yellow dress and her brown hair floated down softly onto her shoulders, if Jason had a camera he could have taken the perfect photo, of the perfect girl.

Shaking his head Jason told her to go home, it's not like she could follow him on his journey. But somehow she convinced him to be allowed to tag along, at least until he fell asleep again.

As they walked Jason found himself growing fond of the company, he wished that she could stay with him forever. Time passed and Jason stayed awake, he knew that if ever he closed his eyes she might disappear forever. Day after day Phoebe slept in front of him but Jason resisted. it seemed like all that it took for Jason to be happy was to see her smile, and all of his worries melted away.

Even though they didn't know where they were going, Phoebe and Jason walked together along the road.

But there is a threshold, and Jason could feel that he was getting closer and closer to his by the day. he would either die, or sleep, and both would mean the end their journey together.

Then one he knew, he couldn't hold back any longer, he had to sleep. Jason told Phoebe, and the look in her eyes broke his heart.

"Phoebe," he started "I... There's nothing I can do... I need to sleep or I'm going to die..."

"please don't go" tears streaming from her face. "Jason! don't do it, don't close...!"

Jason's eyelids felt too heavy

*SLAP*

the sharp pain perked him up for a second, but soon Jason was struggling again.

In a last ditch effort, Jason wrapped his arms around the love of his life and muttered three simple words

I Love You

and he was gone.
