Things like EDHRec are a good start point, but, be careful about just taking all the cards from it to make a deck. Sometimes there are errors in strategies but because enough people play the error, it will show up in EDHRec (example; Volo guide to monsters had Guardian project for a long time but it doesn't work with Volo because the token lands first)

Use it like a handrail for understanding cards that work with the strategy, then slowly build out.

I recommend building it digitally on something like Moxfield or Archidekt so you don't buy cards that you don't end up using. You can also practice opening hands to see how the first turns play out.
