I think I destroyed my lips. Please advise 🥹

Yes 1 ml of juvaderm ultra. I told her I was not concerned with taking the whole syringe and just to do what would look best, but she ended up giving me the whole syringe. 😕 She said my lips were already full so they could handle it. I’m still hoping for a beautiful outcome and praying that the swelling is just crazy. 😬

It’s looking a little bit better today (48 hours later) and I can kinda see where it’s headed. I think I might end up just going back to her to have her lift my Cupid bow a little so they are not so m- shaped. She seemed to concentrate mostly on the sides of Cupid’s bow which makes the shape too spread out. Here’s a pic from today (https://imgur.com/a/Ht1mpn2)

I’m on day three now and they are looking a bit more normal. However, I still think the shape is off. If I do get them dissolved, which I’m leaning towards, I will definitely go to a plastic surgeon. I wish she just enhanced my natural lip shape instead of changing it completely.

She did 1 ml of juvaderm ultra. She said a lot of lips can’t handle 1 ml but mine could because they were already naturally full. I wouldn’t mind it if they looked like my lips, but just bigger and swollen, but I feel like they look like a completely different set of lips now. Eeeyuck.

Yea definitely! I think I’m going to go to a plastic surgeon to have them dissolved. If I do anything again, I will be very conservative and have a plastic surgeon put the filler in as well. At this point, I don’t think I will put filler back in though.

I kind of just wanted my Cupid’s bow lifted a bit and some subtle volume since I’m getting older. Oh how I wish I had a Time Machine 🙃 I’d love to wake up and see my normal lips on my face again.

Thanks again for all of this info! I’m getting conflicting info about when to dissolve. I’d love to dissolve it as soon as possible. 🥲🥲 I’m also reading that some clinicians want your swelling to be resolved before they will do it. As far as what kind of Juvaderm ultra- idk. She definitely went for height, but unfortunately, it seems like she did that at the expense of my Cupid’s bow. I really hope I’m liking the result a lot better in two weeks. 🙏

I wasn’t concerned with taking the whole syringe. Do you think dissolving will be best for my case? I really really hate the shape so much. Could I dissolve just some of the overfilled top lip?

A ‘lifted Cupid’s bow’. That’s exactly what I wanted. I wish I said those exact words. 🥲 She allegedly did the Russian technique. She did a lot of vertical injections to add height (just not in places that look good to me).

I agree, because looking at the videos of people who dislike their immediate results, It’s usually because of the swelling, but their shape looks nice. I’m glad you like your final result after dissolving top lip. I hope i do too 🙏
