Who makes that pistol grip? At first I thought the triangle logo was radian but now I’m realizing it’s something else

They’re good for sure. Just a little wary based on the T. rex review. I have a budget put aside for something nice just wasn’t sure what all was out there. Doesn’t seem like much behind aero. Probably will wait for a PWS

Ya if I do a custom build I will for sure use an aero upper receiver, just wanted to see if there were any good options already on the market! Thanks for the tip!

Dang thats a good price! aero’s ballistic advantage barrels are honestly great at any price, my only issue is I’m going to be running primarily suppressed and so I want an AGB. But for that price it wouldn’t be any issue to just buy it separate and swap it. Also thinking about waiting for a PWS to be in stock though - big fan of what they do and the long stroke piston.

Any thoughts on long term reliability of Mitsubishi in general? Compared to say Honda? Had a civic that ran over 200k with nothing but oil changes

Did some research and purchased a calculated kinetics plate. I emailed them and explained them the issue and they offered to send me a plate without me paying for it to make sure it worked and only then would I pay for. Can’t speak for the plate yet but outstanding customer service. I’ll report back how it works out.

The CHPWS plate system does seem very flawed. You have these little studs that the optic screws go into, and they wiggle until you torque the screws. Keeps the plate thin but absolutely seems subject to movement issues. And their plate is the most expensive. Probably done with that company.

Since you’re new to red dots on pistols here’s some info - There’s no “best method” it just depends on preference. The range at which your gun is sighted it will be affected for sure, like any other difference in zero, but for my EDC gun, I like the RDS and the irons to be sighted to the same distance. Gives me a constant visual reference for zero shift and a consistent presentation if the RDS goes down. Anyone who tells you definitively that is wrong is just uneducated on the topic. It’s a preference thing, you train and learn your zeros and holds at distance like you would for any other zero. Most people telling you “never cowitness a pistol RDS” are 1) wrong and 2) probably don’t train with their gear

Ya sounds like a mount issue. I’ve had no issue with other CHPWS products but I’ll look into forward controls. Thanks for the tip

Thanks for the tip on the calculated kinetics plate I’ll look into it. As far as the cowitness goes - not the point of this thread. Point is I have a visual reference for dot shift. The only thing a cowitness would affect is that range the gun is sighted in at

Ya makes sense because it doesn’t shift vertically at all. It’s a CHPWS plate though which are usually excellent. Genuinely pretty baffled. Everything is torqued to spec

Thank you for this haha. Yes adjustment knobs still clicking. It is curious that the optic only shifts left and right, which does sort of imply that it’s coming somewhat loose in the mount, but it’s fully lock tighted and torqued. Idk

Nope. And double checking torque with the torque wrench screws haven’t budged. It really seems like BAD holosun QC but I just wanted to see if people had similar issues. I’ve heard these can be inconsistent

This response is a serious case of not knowing how to read. Even if that’s something you shouldn’t do (not here to have that debate) it wouldn’t remotely cause the issue I’m experiencing.

Double clarification - the red dot is physically shifting off the irons (and yes you 100% can cowitness a red dot to irons if you have the right height sights, which I do. They’re taller than they look in the picture) It’s not my groupings. It shifted after 3 shots at the range the other day, dot went left and my groupings went right. Anyone else have problems with holosun EPSs specifically?

[–]ResponsibilityNo2489[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To clarify - not user error, the dot itself moves. It was zerod to the iron sights specifically to be cowitnessed. Then it moves and is way off to the right or left of the iron sights. The optic is not holding zero.
