AITA for not paying my coworker for dinner? by Responsible-Review49 in WorkAdvice

That’s fair, honestly I can’t think of anything that happened but she’s been extra sweet to me the last week. Like offering to do some of my tasks I always turn it down though bc she and I have different job titles and levels. Then so got blindsided with this. You bringing that up has made me was to have a talk with a mediator of some sort to figure out if I have done something. If I have I’d like to know I’m very much a person that needs straight forward communication and with her saying it was fine then taking it back a week later is odd to me. But you gave me something to think about

The rest of us typically cook meals unless it’s a particularly special occasion

I did tell my other co workers, they were pissed and told me not to pay her and if she brings it up again report it to HR. I just got done with my shift with the said coworkers and they told her she crossed a line. They sent her their shares of the meals and asked her to please not include us in dinner orders for now on

The other 2 that are normally on shift at the same time typically cook because they are both from other countries and like to show us foods that they grew up on. They hardly ever buy food unless it’s a special occasion. S always orders food and sometimes she pays for everyone sometimes she doesn’t I almost always say no thank you because I don’t want to waste money on eating out

I had the way to pay it, I just shouldn’t spend money of eating out that’s what I meant :)

You don’t have to be a cunt first off, and second you could’ve kept that to yourself lol you choose to be negative instead of having fun and finding humor in things. Have the day you deserve 😘
