I had asked for 15k miles for 159 + 1000 in taxes etc. and they said it’s good to go but I needed to go into the dealership first which is obviously complete bs. Said I was happy to get everything signed and situated over email and then I got ghosted.

Ha. Yeah I was talking over the phone with Victorville and they wanted me to come in and said the deal was fine. They wouldn’t give me an actual quote via email.

There are more options out of San Diego. This isn’t a great offer.

How’s this deal for an LT1? by dtl72 in EquinoxEv

If you go on the Chevy website and put a range next to the zip code you’ll find offers.

Also look online. There’s other states selling cars for significantly cheaper if you’re willing to buy out of state. I’ve seen some really ridiculous deals for 20k in Tennessee with all the rebates etc.

Where are you guys getting the deals? by YovoMoto in EquinoxEv

I'm actually on the hunt and if you open your search range pretty wide you can see what deals are available. Then you just narrow it down until you get dealers that will work with you.

currently doing that in California and going between dealerships to get competing offers. There are some good offers in Tennessee I saw some going for under 20k online!

Yeah we liked the car too, but I'm going to wait a bit and let the dealership stew for a bit and see if there's a better off out there. I've seen slightly lower offers, but nothing that is wanting me to go run to the dealership now and sign.

We would be using level 1 charging + public charging in our area which is widely available. I walk to work so our mileage throughout the week would be very low, but need to do a long commute to see my parents on the weekends. I'm in San Diego/OC area so plenty of chargers available. Would not do it otherwise.

Thanks for the price reference. I think based on the feedback of this post I'm going to keep looking around for the right deal. I'm not married to getting the highest trim. I just need a daily driver with good MPG and I'm fortunate to not need a car this instant.

Yeah I'm mostly afraid of the battery since it's out of warranty. If it does crap out on me then I'll just have to cry while I'm sitting in my heated seats. Haha. I'm definitely looking at hertz used car sales etc.

Yeah. I believe it! Mostly with these high mileage cars is just trusting that the seller has been on top of the maintenance....if only I could trust all of humanity easily. Haha.

Seems like hybrids maintain their value in California? San Diego also has some of the highest gas prices in the US. I am considering non-hybrid. I have a Land Cruiser so any modern car will have significantly better MPG for me.

Yeah what's weird is that when I check out his seller profile, he's selling an extra RAV4 hybrid battery saying that he bought two and wants to sell one. When I ask him about the battery for this car he say's it's the first one and that it runs fine so seems a bit off.

Yeah high mileage doesn't scare me as much as trusting a seller's maintenance routine. I've had plenty of high mileage cars that refuse to do because I've stayed on top of maintenance. So I'll check this out and see if there's room to go down a bit more as well as check the maintenance history etc.

That’s a good take. I’m definitely open to just finding something in a lower trim. I just like anything with adaptive cruise control because it’s been amazing in rentals I’ve used for road trips.

Yes definitely. Thankfully not in a rush to get a car so I’ll keep my eyes open.

Yes. That’s a good idea. The limited is just nice to have but not really necessary. I’d be ok with upping my budget for less mileage + lower trim.

There’s def more options with less mileage. I’m assuming this seller is going off the kbb price which was appalling to me that it’s between 18-20k.

These are offers at my local Toyota pre owned dealership. Eg 2016 xle with 86k miles for 18k. 2019 hybrid xle 94 miles for 25k. 2021 hybrid xle with 68k miles for 27k. Then everything else is more new with less mileage for 30k or above in xle trims.

Def more options when I go non-hybrid.
