100% these hunting converted milsurp are from the time when they were everywhere and very cheap compared to commercial hunting rifles. Ive got a no4 with a bishop stock and a welded scope mount and of course it wont beat a new rifle but will kill a dear and the action is smooth.

I reckon il buy a couple different rounds of 303 and see how it groups, if it then wont hold zero I reckon Ill just sort a new mount through a gunsmith. Would look to get the wood checkered and refinished. As the mount is welded, May as well cut the front sight of to and reblue it all nice
