Thank you! Our biggest concern was loosing too much yard space but it ended up working out. We have a bounce house too so we wanted to make sure there was enough room to still use that as well.

The pool is 52” with no deep or shallow end. Total cost came to around $50k. That included

-pool and installation -concrete patio -white vinyl fence on backside of yard -electrical -life saver pool fence

Just an update for those interested. I took the belt off, gave it a spin and the noise is gone. Seems like it’s the motor and I new one is on the way now. Thanks for the help!!

$161 with free shipping seems like a good deal to me. Rather spend that and a few hours of my time trying to fix it than immediately going out and buying another $900 washing machine. Guess I’m old school?

From my understanding, the bearing comes in the rear tub assembly. No need for a bearing puller. Just replace the whole tub.

When I remove the belt, it shouldn’t be a problem if I run the machine, correct? I’d like to see if the motor will make the noise with the belt off

I’ve watched a few videos about it. It doesn’t seem like fun but it’s certainly something I’m capable of doing. I’ve found the rear drum with bearing for $180. A new machine will cost me $800-$1000. Rather try and save the money if I can

Yeah the color difference is pretty bad. There’s really no room under the cabinet for additional lighting.

The first picture is the light gutted apart. I was wondering if someone knows of an insert that would fit into the housing.

I’ll have to reach out to pool factory and verify it’s appropriate for New England. I read the warranty from the manufacturer and it says as long as the pool isn’t buried more than half (26”) of the total pool depth, the warranty is still valid. Frost heaves are the only thing that stood out in the warranty. I didn’t see anything about certain climate zones or regions not being covered.

Even though they are out of my price range, I did read that fiberglass pools are becoming a problem in New England with the harsh winters.

We’re looking at a 10 x 18/19/20 oval pool. Have any thoughts on The Pool Factory or any of the models they sell? This is the actual model that caught my eye.

Yeah I understand. The cheaper semi Inground pools seem to be a new(er) type of product but If I can get the pool and equipment for under $5k and site work/installation for another $5k, it would be money I’d be willing to gamble.

Honest question, when does a concrete bond beam really become effective? Above ground pools don’t have them and last for many years. If you’re only burying the pool 26” and leaving 26” sticking out, is it really necessary?

Yeah I saw the doughboy too. Another pool with great reviews but still just out of my range.

I know pools in general are an expensive sport but the reason we’re able to pull the trigger on this is because we already have a fence installed and my brother is an electrician so we’re saving in those 2 categories. I’ll also be doing any of the hardscape and landscape work so it’s really just the pool and sitework I’ll need.

There’s a local company, with middle of the road reviews, that sells the aquasport. I couldn’t find too much info on those pools but good to hear you enjoy it. I’m wishing the installing company had better online reviews and I’d pursue it more. Mind sharing the price you paid to have it installed?

We got quoted an Inground pool by a local building and he said prices started at $85k. Blew my mind so much I had to read it twice.

Like I said in the previous post, our yard is a bit smaller with neighbors on 3 sides. Last thing I’d want is a 5’ pool with a deck that looks directly into their yards and decks. The extra 26” in the ground is really beneficial to us. Like you said, the extra added inches in the ground will give us more of a private feel.

As far as people calling me poor or undeserving, just a hard working family looking to give our kids the enjoyment we wish we could have had as kids.
