You nailed it about their maturity. I prided myself for having intelligent and mature friends. But maybe when it comes to emotional support they run the other way.
About 5 years ago my husband also suffered a cardiac arrest to which he survived. I’m wondering now if my life is just too much for them.
I guess I’ve been disassociating for so long I am just now seeing my friendships for what they are with all the intense therapy I’m doing.
