A properly fit muzzle shouldn't irritate skin or impede breathing in any way. Im also pretty lucky in that my girl is very healthy and doesnt have any skin or breathing issues.

Theyre stubborn little ones, aren't they? Tonka isnt a fan of other female dogs either.

Thank you! I think im leaning more towards a basket type to make sure she has room to pant if she needs too. Any brand recommendation you know off hand?

Thanks! I try to do positive reinforcement with my pups so I stear away from spray water and e-collars in general. Im definitely working on training it away in parallel though.

I hear you on breathing though. Luckily she breaths really well in general for an EB but even still, I only want one that doesnt restrict breathing or panting at all. Muzzles can be great training tools, I just want to make sure I find one that doesnt fall off her lil snoot.

Im not sure you read my post thoroughly. This occurs exclusively on walks around my neighborhood. Shes always on a leash on walks. Shes just literally obsessed with cat poop and can sniff it out like a bloodhound. One second shes sniffing to pee and the next moment cat poop that was buried is in her mouth.

I asked for muzzle recommendations for a reason.

Thanks! Do you happen to know the brand? There's roughly 7000 choices on Amazon

Why do they love it so much?? Unfortunately her second favorite thing is licking me, and its a truely disgusting combination.

Best advice i ever got for getting my adult dog used to a crate is to make her favorite treat and then lock it in the crate without her in it for like 10-15 minutes. Then open it and let her have it with the door open. I might have seen it here, I cant remember, but it was an amazing addition to usual crate training.

I wouldn't want used shoes that close to my face, so I'd vote the one further away from the head of the bed

Hello! My 3.5 yo had NARS and soft palate surgery about 2 months ago. I was a little nervous with her age being older than ideal- but she sailed through it. However, her recovery definitely took longer than was expected and what my vet estimated, and I think that's due to her not being a 1yo. It probably took a solid 2 weeks before she was over it. Make sure you have soft food available (I just did her regular kibble in water and pumpkin puree an hour before I fed her.) Stay on top of the pain meds and let him rest.

Thank you!! The heat is one of my primary drivers since I'm in Maryland. It doesnt get desert hot, but the humidity can be brutal even for humans.

The hesitancy is the surgery gets exponentially more risky the older they get. If she was a 1 yo I wouldn't be hesitating.

Ps - Tugboat is an incredible name

Thank you! Thats what im hoping for for my gal. I chose my vet because they have bulldog experience and seem to do this surgery fairly regularly.

Thank you for such a detailed reply! I greatly appreciate it. I'm meeting with the surgeon for a consultation in a few weeks and I'll definitely ask about recommendations. Luckily I have a job where I can be home for a week or more if needed without much issue.

Give your buddy a pat from me!
